Louisiana has some of the best food in the world and also right outside the stadium on a Saturday night. Walk into Tiger Stadium and its the culinary equivalent to South Dakota.

Lets have some poboys, fried fish, jambalaya, gumbo on cold nights. Much of that shite can be pre-made. The fricking sushi experiment is a disaster.

None of this will aid in attendance but would still be an improvement.

Nah it'll never happen. It makes too much sense.

Solid post though. I totally agree with everything

Watch a Penn State, Michigan or Ohio State game. They show up and stay past half time. Penn State rocked it last night.

They need to shorten the games. Nfl games are 3h +- a little bit. It seems like every LSU TV game lasts 4 hours.

If seats are empty at kickoff, sell cheap tickets to people that will fill those seats. Set up a system so if you have tickets and are running late, you can text that you are coming. Otherwise, you lose your seats. I think some Operas and Broadway shows do this.

it's not an NCAA rule or an SEC rule

LSU could sell it if they wanted to.

It's pretty much an unwritten SEC rule.

CBS is notoriously long. Their commercial breaks are like 10 minutes long.

It's not an official SEC rule, but I'd be interested to see the conference's reaction if a school tried to.

Only complaint i have other than brpd. They turn a 1 hour gane into 4. Kills the crowd and any momentum a team might have.

I agree with most of what you have posted here...probably most strongly with #1...at some point in every game I just get pissed after sitting through yet another ten minute stretch of bullshite time filler...4 hours is just too damn long to enjoy sitting in the rain or sun...

#7 is the only one that I disagree on...it just irritates the crap out of me to have people constantly walking back and forth in front of me to get beers and piss...I saw kind of a never-ending cycle of this at WV that accellerated as the game went on...basically, the only thing that interrupted the cycle was when someone would get drunk enough to start a fight...

LSU is getting their money regardless of what's happening. They are making the money they need to.

People want information. The gameday experience doesn't provide this. You get scores and some high level stats intermittently on the tiny ribbon boards and cell service is nonexistent.

I would donate $100 or more today right now if they said it was earmarked specifically for a fund that said "we're going to build a scoreboard and only put stats, look in's, and highlights on it the whole game, ads off limits." It would be paid for so there's no argument to put ads on it to get it paid for and it wouldn't take away from their precious current hd billboard.

The original scoreboard cost $7,000,000. Could we get enough commitments to cover that?

it's always interesting when you're in a suite watching both the delay on the field and the broadcast. Even after the commercials, the teams are standing there waiting and CBS is showing a Survivor promo followed by highlights from the 1974 game between the two teams, followed by Gary giving updates on his keys to the game.

I had the unique pleasure of going to Starkvegas 2 weeks ago and while it's no tiger stadium , the jumbotron was far superior. Not just in size but quality of content as well. They did a lot more replays and also some player interviews that were pretty funny.
My point is that we have to do something more with the jumbotron than just advertise. Also I like the idea about wifi.
