Add this to the op, please.

The juicy morsel about the D ends and LBs running receiver drills is nice especially the bit about Bower

Gotcha

Hopefully Miles meant he was down to 230lbs and not up to 230lbs... Regardless what he weighed last season, LF should try and drop 5 lbs or so. It's not going to hurt his power at all, and it will help him get some more burst IMO. Plus, he's such a well built player and so strong that he could be 215, but looks and plays like he's 230lbs. But he does not need to gain weight.

I just think dropping 5lbs or so from last season will go a long ways with him. He's already great as is, just think he could get a little more burst if he drops just a few lbs.

224 and 230 is no difference in speed imo

Well that's just not true....

And it might not have a difference in his top speed... But it def will have a difference in acceleration, burst off the snap, and getting up to his top speed, along with lateral quickness and agility.

And it's not like I'm saying he will be a completely different RB or whatever. Just think a few pounds lighter will give him just a little more burst, and that little bit of burst could be huge with a RB of his ability and size.

I think Fournette is actually 235 like Hill, he's just leaner than he was coming in.

That's what I was trying to get at. Maybe not that big, but i think he did get leaner. He looks different to me. I bet anything his body fat % is lower than when he entered last year. Remember them talking about he was having trouble with the conditioning early on?

Fournette

was actually 224 last year and is around 230 now.

I'm not disagreeing, but he sure looked like he weighed a ton last year. Not bad weight, either. I differ from many on here in that I love Fournette on kick returns. He's a solid threat to break one, and when he doesn't he usually plows into defenders like a bowling ball.

I'll wager this: that our opponents would be very happy if we removed Fournette from the kickoff return team.

While he did reasonably well on returns, I don't like risking his talent as a RB, to the opponents getting 11 guys running full speed at him, possibly causing an injury. I know most of those collisions are in his favor, but the chances of an injury are greater on returns. The coverage team is usually manned by back ups looking to make a name for themselves. Taking 7 out would make their day.

I'm hoping Donte Jackson gets a shot at returns.
