I don't know how well Harris can run, buut Harris could be one of those special QB's. You know like a Manziel or Winston was these past two seasons. We already know he has a rocket for an arm. If he is an outstanding runner also, look out. I would love to see him win the Heismann.

He had 60 yards in the first half. He can run.

I'm not sure what to think about those completion percentages.

Top ten defense nationally. Means we are going to be fine.

Remind us that Harris is going to be the starter.

I'm not going to shite on aj but here are a few things I noticed..

Aj is not good at the deep ball. He threw a couple and they were under thrown each time. Almost all of his completions were to TEs and RBs I think his completion to dural for a TD was his only completion to a WR.

Both of AJs picks were on out routes to a RB or TE and the LBs jumped the route.

AJ was also sacked 5+ times. He doesn't like to scramble and when he does he isn't very good at it.

Harris was PERFECT on every deep pass he threw. One hit bolden in the hands and he dropped it. One hit Diarse in the hands after he randomly slowed down during the route. There were two other instances were the WR could have easily made a play.

Harris was also insane at escaping pressure. He wasn't sacked once and made multiple first down runs on third downs.

The way I see it. AJ is more of a game manager and Harris will be a gunslinger.

Although AJ threw two picks, that wasn't normal bc the LBs obviously knew the plays and jumped te routes. They weren't bad throws. Harris is the kind of guy who will win you games and maybe throw a few picks. AJ is a game manager who will get the job done but won't be an X factor. That's how I see it.

i know Harris had more yards and TDs, but his completion percentage was god awful. I didn't see the game, but people may be overreacting to his day.

I came to the game today really hoping I would see AJ separate himself from the other QBs, what I saw was Brandon move into the #1 QB spot.

He will be much more confident after today's performance and if he keeps progressing, I think Brandon pulls away this summer.

Some of the deep balls he threw were absolutely gorgeous. Just needs work on his shorter out of the backfield throws and he'll be fine.

Just interesting that Harris had such a good day but his % was fairly low. Less than 50% at best. And Jennings wasn't that bad.

It's a box score, not much I can count on.

He missed two wide open guys for sure and tried to fit a few passes were they didn't belong but there were also ATLEAST 4 drops.

I don't think he completed a single pass when playing for the purple team in the first half. In the second half he went 0 3 then on the next drive he threw two 30 yard passes on back to back plays then ran in it for a td

Both.

Best player should start. If we lose 4-5games with the better player, imagine how many we would lose with the worse player.

And Harris has way better physical tools than Jennings does. Get him out there early, get the reps, and we will be set at QB for the future. Which is something we arent used to here at LSU.

Deep balls - Harris destroyed AJ in accuracy

AJ had more short to middle range passes, mostly short, to have a higher percentage. Harris was chucking it downfield a lot

Jennings threw two pick sixes and was sacked 5+ times.

He didn't have a good day but it isn't as bad as people think it was. In a normal setting those passes wouldn't be picks.

Gotcha.

I knew it wasn't enough to base am opinion on. I was just a little surprised when I saw those stats after seeing the excitement about Harris' day.

for what?? It's not like I'm sayin he will win the Heismann. All I'm sayin is that I would love for him to turn out to be another Manziel or Winston and keep the streak going. 3 Frosh in a row winning the Heismann!

Rettig is now an afterthought. Just accept it. BH will be the starter come first snap come August 30 vs Wisconsin.

He won't be the most talented freshman in the backfield but I like your enthusiasm!
