Bama plays as tough of road schedule as I can remember under Saban. At Tennessee. At Ole Miss. At Arkansas. At LSU.

This is not what the rant was about. No one is denying that the Bama game isn't a big game. What frustrates me and obviously Ponamski is that the rest of the year no matter what good Les the coaching staff or his players do people will always fall back on still gonna lose to Bama. To me it is just a tired and played out line that allows negatigers to remain negative whenever something good happens.

Ponamsky's rant is spot on.
I actually believe that, should LSU go 11-1 (lose to alabama) and then win a NY6 bowl and finish 12-1 and in the top 6 nationally, a certain large section of our fanbase would consider the season NOT a success because we did not beat alabama.

losing to a rebuilding Bama at home, no conference title, no playoff appearance, and playing in a irrelevant bowl game.....I wouldn't call it a bad season, but certainly not a successful one
