With all of the information coming out of the Florida athletic department about the time constraints, logistics, etc., I haven't seen it mentioned that none other than Steve Spurrier himself now offices in the UF athletic department. If anybody knows how to handle a game move on short notice, it would be him, since he was the coach at South Carolina last year when they moved the game here. Did they not bother to ask him ?
Florida just did not want to play this game and dragged their feet to get is cancelled/postponed !

They chose not to move it on purpose.

In my opinion Spurrier advocated AGAINST moving UF game to Baton Rouge. While it sounds reasonable and logical, the outcome favors us and Spurrier experienced that first hand last year. So I'm sure he advised Foley to stall as much as possible.
