I think his title is "director of football operations." He's called "coach Nader" by the staff. I Used to see him at LSU FCA meetings in the mid 1990s. Really nice Christian man who has been serving LSU football for 40 years or so.

He basically runs the football program, not counting the coaching. It's gonna be a hell of a lot harder to replace him then it will be to replace miles

Pretty much echoing what everybody else has said, but yes, Coach Nader is as nice and genuine as they come. Since coming to LSU and majoring in Sport Administration, I have built a friendship with Coach Nader. I personally view him as a mentor. Coach Nader is full of insight and experience and handles anything behind the scenes regarding LSU football with class and professionalism. He's pretty much the nucleus of LSU football.

He went to work at LSU for Chonly Mac

So Sam has worked for.....

McClendon
Rein, in the short time he was with us.
Stovall
Arnsparger
Archer
Hallman
DiNardo
Hal Hunter for one game
Saban
Miles
Orgeron
and then, whoever gets the gig next year

That is potentially 12 different football coaches. Boggles the mind....

Came in during either the McClendon or Stovall eras and has hung around ever since. I want to say he came here as the head coach of the freshman team, then was the recruiting coordinator for years. I remember seeing him around campus when I was at LSU in the late '70's/early '80's, and thought he retired years ago until I saw him on TV Saturday night.

Sam Nader started as the TE coach for Coach McClendon. If you ever watch vintage Tiger film from the late 70's, Coach Nader is the man signaling in plays/formations with the groovy red sweat bands. An absolute gentleman...was Coach Stovall's and Coach Arnsparger's recruiting coordinator. Just a terrific human being and an incredibly smart, insightful man...on top of that, he is Dr. Sam Nader...He truly is one of the good guys...

AMAZING guy!!! I used to be the president of Best Buddies LSU during my time there. We were a student group that was matched up with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As you can imagine lots of our buddies in the Baton Rouge area were huge tiger fans. Coach Nader organized a whole day just for my chapter in the football ops building. Personally gave us a tour of the film room, screened some hype videos, showed us around the locker room, and even opened the chute so we could each run out the tunnel and hit the win bar on our way onto the field. It was a day most of the buddies, and I, still talk about and it was his idea from start to finish. Few people at LSU have the impression coach Nader did on me.... true class act!
