That's exactly right. I cared a lot less about LSU football when I was actually there because I had more going on and I was around people who cared just as much. When I graduated and I was the only LSU alum/fan out of my local friends, LSU football became something to help define me. If they won, it almost felt like it was justifying my decision to attend LSU.
