I have no idea what Scott will do if Beth leaves, but I would guess he would go after a big name. I still don't want the Oklahoma State coach anywhere near our program. I have relatives and friends daughters who played there and they have nothing nice to say. Ask the transfers on our team who left from there what they think.
IMHO, I don't see anything that would tell me there would be a change. I like our coaches and I cheer for their and the team's success. I would concur that I'm sad about the performance of the team lately. I lost interest in many things about the program in the past couple of years, but it's not because of the coaches or players. I still want them to win every game, but I do it from a distance.

Dude, we're not going to win every game. We lost to a very talented team and every team goes through stretches where they struggle at some point! It's why you play the games!

This seems to happen every season without fail. We start out strong and collapse down the stretch. We're 11-13 since starting out 24-0, winning only 2 out of our 8 SEC series. Our hitting has gone into the crapper and we're making a lot more errors. Basically, we're regressing, not just struggling.

I don't disagree but this team is going through more than a 'tough stretch'. They have lost 6 of their 8 SEC series and have looked completely lost the last 4 weeks. We continue to struggle to manufacture runs in general. Even with Beth's struggles in recent years losing that many SEC series may be a new low for her. This is on top of having a senior heavy roster from the COVID years
And that is one my knocks with Beth as of late in her tenure, we always seem to be peaking early on/mid season then collapse the back half of the year between late SEC play, conference tournament, and of course the last 2 years getting sent home during regionals.
I hope they can get hot in the post season but it feels like we have seen this movie before

Scott Woodward has to decide very soon....do you love Beth Torina more than he loves LSU softball.
I guess the fans have to come to terms with it, also. We need new blood and it needs to happen soon. Beth is an anchor that holds this team down from any higher expectations.

Beth being forced to hire an accomplished hitting coach, sticking him at first base, and keeping her buddy Dobson in charge is a “frick you” to the fans akin to Les Miles being ordered to change his offense and coming out with the same Stone Age stuff in the 2016 opener at Wisconsin.

They have lost all of those series. Same can be said for baseball. The difference is Johnson actually been to CWS multiple times and won a title.
Plus he has been here a few seasons whereas she has been there 13 years. Dobson has to be fired or she should be fired.
