The player gave the ump the look of death when he called a foul on the previous play and then slammed her bat down on the plate when she struck out and looked right at him again.

the internet update i checked at the time said she got called back for leaning into a pitch, which she did, but the pitch was called a strike when it should've been ball 4 bc the pitch hit her well outside the strike zone.

And Texas Tiger, how did you enjoy your first softball game taking the end result and other foolishness out of account?

My money is on Habetz, and she will do very well at LSU.

I think it was the look or possible words she said to the ump that got her thrown out. I also did not see anything bad that the LSU Coach did to get thrown out. I think the ump was just tired of listening to her talk. We enjoyed the game and how the girls played it.

Lawson from Kentucky and Holas from Houston are early leaders in clubhouse

I'm currently in my 9th year as a hardball ump and a batter turning around w/ eye contact, then nonverbal dissent will get you the boot just about everty time unless a call was totally kicked.. i would say both ejections were warranted bc when YG came out the dugout I'm sure that was her goal.. Had Young just slammed the bat w/ out the turning around, that would've been OK in my book. I just saw the video highlights.. It's generally considering that a batter or catcher turning around after a controversial pitch is showing the ump up and you will usually be in the doghouse the rest of the game... not saying it's right, just stating facts

I understand the ejection of the player...but I did not see what the coach did that caused her to get the boot, but like you said she probably knew going out would get her the boot and maybe she did it to try and fire up her team.
