LSU plays Baylor this weekend at 6 at Scrap Yard park which is in houston (near Woodlands I think)

Admission I think is $5

If anyone in Houston wants to see LSU, this would be a fantastic opportunity too

Will Torina let Sunseri hit (I was watching one of her PGF games and she hit 2 bombs with ease)? I know the SEC is way different than PGF, but I think she can be a good hitter.

I know that Torina and the other coaches are all very very high on Sunseri. She truly is a player that can pitch and hit. Sunseri has pitched and hit against players at the highest level in travel ball and was successful on both sides.

I am most excited to see Sunseri and Maribeth develop this season and to see a different offense. Was told we will be happy with improvements in the offense.

This schedule is a nice one for us. Early we play a lot of solid teams so it will be a good test for us and it allows us to develop confidence in the younger players

If you are a softball junkie like I am, the Mary Nutter Classic is a great trip. Palm Springs is a beautiful place and the teams in that tournament are all top notch. There are 3 fields around the clubhouse and 2 more just beyond that where top 25 teams are all playing at the same time. I like to get a lawn chair and sit in the area between two games in the outfield with a cold beer and some barbeque and enjoy the high level of softball being played.

I've gone 4 out of the last 5 years, but this year, LSU is only playing 3 games on Saturday and early Sunday morning. I thought it was a typo on the MNT website until I saw the schedule release. LSU is also playing Thurs and Friday in Stockton. So if I was going to just watch LSU play, that's a hard bullet to bite on travel to watch 3 games in 24 hours and be done. I would love to go to Stockton and then to PS, but that's not feasible this year.

I would give y'all a report on Saturday's scrimmage with Baylor since I live in Houston, but I'm coordinating the Texas HS softball coaches Hurricane Harvey Softball Equipment Relief Drive (means I'm driving a truck from El Paso to Houston with 80 stops picking up donations) and will still be on that project for another week. We are now working on filling a 2nd 26 foot rental truck.

I am extremely excited for UCLA and Oregon

Will be a good test to see where our offense stands

I notice Team Japan is in it, I didn't know the NCAA allowed that.
