We did run for 200 yards the 2nd half.

JJ had a really good second half. He started the game poorly.

Not really. The first two drives started inside our 10, one was a 3 and out one had a first down or two before punting. The third drive picked up a couple first downs before Ford fumbled and gave them an easy scoop and score. The fourth drive was a TD.

Otherwise yes, Jefferson and Lee were both bad. But people have selective memory when it comes to the Arkansas game.

yeah UGA's spirits were broken and we piled it on but that did not happen until after 2 ST TDs

to a lesser extent, same shite after mo's KO TD against west virginia. that just broke their back

hell, even in the early 4th quarter in the title game i just kept waiting for that one defensive/ST play that would flip the game

didn't happen

I wouldn't say punt, punt, fumble was successful. The fumble wasn't on JJ, but I'd definitely say that's not a stellar start.

He ran the ball well in that game, and had 1 TD and 1 INT, plus some big passes to Randle.

The next two were awful.

There were 3 elite defenses in 2011. LSU ,bama, uga.

JLee and JJ were both limited. JJ had one of the longest deliveries I've ever seen and his footwork was just as bad.
JLEE just lost his mind anytime his pocket got muddy.

No but the field position had exactly 0 to do with the offense and there was only one three and out. Ford's fumble had exactly 0 to do with "Miles' fear of the passing game" or whatever. The Arkansas game wasn't even remotely close to being the same type of game as the other two and it's ridiculous to suggest it was.

ETA: Just checked the box score. Jefferson's "poor start" was 4/5 on the first three drives prior to the first scoring drive.

JJ could not read a defense with Google translator...lol.

I wouldn't go that far. He could read a defense but his wind up severely limited his ability to make it to his 3rd read.
Nfl scouts time qbs from the time they start moving their arms to the time the ball leaves their hands. The best ever is probably Marino and the worst may be JJ.

We just know what's going to eventually happen. When LSU gets down a couple of scores and has to pass, it's all over.

Well, he missed a wide open TE up the seam for a TD early in 1/9. He was purblind when it came to pre-snap analysis.

We will find out about the D during the UF game and 'Bama and TAMU. They lack focus and discipline so far as I can see.

This team will most likely still finish with a better record than most people predicted. Also I don't recall anyone thinking we were going to be throwing the ball a lot. just seems to me the coaches are playing to the strengths of this team. Running.

I'd like to see how many dropped balls we have had so far. that rt there is killing the stats and killing drives. keep the drives going, run more plays. also when the rbs break for big TDs that also results in less plays being needed to get down the field. All that results in not attempting more passes.

[quote]LSU wins more than most of those schools. That's good. We don't win a national Championship every year[/quote
And there it is folks, the straw man argument.

You do realize that LSU hasn't won a bowl game since 2010, or an SECC since 2011 ending in a clisterfrick game, right? That's 5 fricking years counting this year.

I'm not even hoping for an SECC, hell i just want a bowl win. Talk about LOW expectations!

Being frustrated is one thing, but it blows my mind how much BS people just make up out of thin air or completely ignore during games to support their opinion.

This thread has surely delivered.

that 2006 team was soooo stacked. we had the best QB in CFB, a top-flight WR, a TE, a gamebreaker RB in keiland, and an all around beast D
06 & 07 were probably miles worst coaching jobs

USCe isn't very good so I'm anticipating another incomplete game, likely sloppy play, a solid win, and then the same excuses.

This LSU Team is a developing Championship Team. The speed at which they develop determines how soon, maybe this year. One thing for sure as they grow they stumble, a solid win is a solid win is a solid win

2006 and the myth about that team. First off UF was better than we were. Period. They proved it by beating us. Second, USC was better talent wise. Pete Carroll yeah that Pete Carroll and his Trojans lost to an overmatched UCLA that same year. So I guess Miles was at least the second worst coach when it matter that year.

We had some issues with pass protection early in the year. After the UF game we got it together on OL and the rest is history. Post UF loss until Sugar Bowl we played arguably the best football in the land. But not so much looking at the whole body of work. 2007 was about injuries and such that nearly derailed the season. A 100% Flynn and we don't lose to UK. A healthy D and we don't lose to Arky. The negative side hold on to the myth of 2006 as a crutch to take cheap shots at Miles to uphold the rantard agenda:).

Good points.

Some people have made watching this team horrible for me. What's even worse is there are fans who think they can better prepare the coaches.

The entitled crap needs to stop.
