Florida isn't. Neither is Ohio State, Tennessee or any of the other teams that LSU beat en route to a national title!

But you're right...K. Williams should have been LSU's guy. You are an experienced and seasoned expert in player evaluations! If we had just beat Kentucky...

I was at the scrimmage. The statement is true for the most part. The only thing that is untrue in the quote is Russell did not score on that particular play, he ran for about 35 yards, ran out of bounds before being touched. The DB's were complaining about not being able to tackle Shep or anybody else in Green jersey's, and yes they were having difficulty even touching the guy.

Shep is the real deal, trust me.

alright i believe you, I mean im pulling for shep to take this ship over. I mean we basically have what appears to be a tebow/percy hybrid. I mean what better than having both of them, you can have it all in one and put some other great player on the field too.

Do us all a favor, get lost, never come back, and eat a bowl of dicks. Thats the dumbest shite I've ever heard.

Hey Mmorsey...how about concerning yourself less with "legalizing it" and more with learning to spell!

if RS plays as a true frosh, that gives him in all liklihood 1 year to play full-time QB

it's possible that the staff says "the hell with it, let's put in a full-blown system for this guy and go with it".

but yea, he won't be the full-time QB without it being a system-type deal. but that doesn't mean he won't make a huge impact at the QB position, among others.

why? Vince Young did it

I'm not convinced we right off Shep's passing abilities just yet... the kid has a great work ethic and is more intelligent than a guy like Vince Young, who also had bad mechanics and got by on athlecticism... so why can't Shep be a proficient enough passer in 2-3 years?

he may well be, but why in the hell would you not leverage his running ability. If you want a pure passer there are better options.

I would say 200 yards rushing in the BCS game == system

Did it ever cross you guys' minds that maybe the guy was joking? Sarcasm detection seems to be incredibly lacking on the Rant.

wha? why can't he just be well-rounded like Vince Young, who led his team to a National Title over USC in what was basically a home game for the Trojans

Are you saying Garrett can be the better pocket passer? The mid-grade QB that virtually no big schools recruited? ..I hope he can be that guy, but counting on him being that guy over a better all-around player like Shep is not something I would do

to put it simply, vince was 6-5 and shep looks to be around 6-0
