As it turns out, we may not need them to.
Georgia over Auburn seals the deal (assuming we get everything else), but LSU can still win the West if Auburn beats Georgia (goes to to SECe opponent records.
The most crucial games are:
-Bama over State
-Bama over Auburn
-Om over State
We can win the West with just these three, but obviously UGA over Auburn combined with these three makes it a done deal.

The earlier post about playoff scenarios explains it pretty well and in detail. The way I understand it with all other things being equal (record against each other, etc.) the real tie-breaker comes down to records for SEC eastern opponents each team played. Our eastern opponents were Kentucky and Florida. Florida's upset of Georgia was great! On the other side Tenn. upset of S. Carolina would help Ala. and hurt Auburn (assuming Auburn is involved in tie-breaker as well). Bottom line is LSU has to win out and hope for a few upsets. I'll take an LSU victory over Alabama for starters.....

If MSU would be out, then the head-to-head win over 'Bama, assuming it happens, would decide, no?

Finishing the season with 10 wins is good for all and most likely we will get a good bowl game with 10 wins.
There will have to be dozens of upsets and things to happen for us to win the SEC West and advance to the final 4 BCS games.

Don't be so sure. Georgia seems to play better when it has no chance at a NC.

While I agree that we just need to take care of our business and let the chips fall where they may, your statement is incorrect.
Besides winning out, we need only four things and we win the West, and only two of them would be considered an "upset":
-@Georgia over Auburn (PickEm game or Aub slight favorite)
-@Bama over State (Bama favored)
-@bama over Auburn (Bama favored)
-@OM over State (State slight favorite)

Yeah because I don't like to predict the unpredictable I am not A planner. I guess if you say so, it's true. We will see what your predictions mean in 4 weeks. I bet you're wrong about whatever it is
