I know he isn't playing for personal issues, but is this supposed to be a season-long thing? Will he not be coming back? I sure hope that's not the case but that's the indication I'm getting.

Detillier was talking about it on wwl yesterday. Said the personal issue was him being asked to move from right to left. Talked about the delicacy of an athlete's psyche and such, and also what he would stand to lose draft-wise, if he went along with the move and it not work out.

Don't know if there's anything to that. Just repeating what was said.

My G-d I hope that's not true. If it is, then I absolutely don't want him on the team. Football is not prep school for the NFL, and although I'm all for protecting kids as much as possible, but:

If you are a football player, and your head coach AND OC (who is also your position coach) both ask you to move from RT to LT (LTs are the highest paid offensive linemen, and the starter is often the 2nd or 3rd highest paid player on a team), and BOTH OF THEM are former offensive linemen - and your team needs you to do it... you do it.

If you drop from 1st to 3rd or 4th round because you were a team player, there are non-financial rewards from being a team player - that's the price of going to war with ~100 other guys that you count on, and that count on you.

How is it going to look to NFL scouts if you're afraid to play out of position?

G-d I hope this isn't true...

I'm going to miss Clyde...

Sad if that's true. Hate to see a tiger not want to do what the coaches feel is the best move for the team and become selfish

If I had to guess, Detillier doesn't know a damn thing about the situation and is speculating wildly. And the Drunk and the Redneck Retard probably just went along with it as if it were absolute fact.

WWL's afternoon sports show should not be trusted for real information on LSU. It is a joke of a radio show.

That smells like bs to me, but I could be wrong I guess. Either way, I hope he clears up his troubles and can contribute in the future

This is illogical. If his driving concern was his NFL draft status, he certainly would not have quit the team. That would only further diminish his draft stock.

Either way, he isn't coming back, apparently.

It seems like alot of stuff Detillier says is pretty common knowledge for anyone that follows football on message boards. Not saying he's wrong, but once again, his speculation or "scoop" is exacly what alot of people have been saying. seems that way alot with him.
