Ha. I'm sure there are LSU fans who believe this.

So if I was Miles, I would adjust my offense to not be based on overpowering the other teams front seven. Believe it or not, you don't HAVE to have an awesome o-line to play offense.

Utilize screens with your RBs and WRs (did miles not take any notes on Fishers WR tunnel screen?) Rely on misdirection, NOT power running. Use the TE more.

Usually coaches who are paid 5 million a year know how to do shite like this.

Will not change Les Miles from unsuccessfully imposing his will against the opposing teams by running the ball for very small gains.

I'm sure you'll see more of these type things soon. Our power running game will be out the window. It won't be easy with a new qb though. There was already a learning curve.

There are ways to deal with a depleted O line. You throw quick passes to the RB's and use the slot receivers as well.

Can't change inexperience and youth aside from letting them get experience and grow up.

We are what we are on the OL. Good thing is these guys are young and getting great experience which means LSU's OL next year will be very good. Especially if Faulk comes back, which I think everyone expects with the injury this year.

I 100% agree with you on the veteran, experienced OL. YOu have to have it to be succesful in the SEC. You can have a young QB, young RBs, young WRS, but if the OL is young you will have troubles in this league. Add in injuries to the only experienced guys you got and it's a recipe for disaster. I still see LSU as a good team. We are still mathematically in the NC race, but realistically this looks like a 10-3 season with a Cotton Bowl win. You can't hide and scheme around an inexperienced OL....just not possible in the SEC.

This is true, but when you have a defense as elite as LSU's is, a good coach can play away from the weakness of the oline and manage to score enough to win. In LSUs case, that means just getting 17-20 points a game and keeping its defense on the field for less than 32-33 minutes, which is feasible.

I agree totally. I think we'll see some tweaks but its limited. In the SEC you have the horses upfront or you don't. This shows how fortunate we've been in past seasons with injuries at key positions. This season has been an absolute nightmare.
