hy hasn't that happened in Alabama since Saban was hired?

We aren't Alabama, Saban isn't our coach. Stop using that fricking comparison

Right. Because when you look at it that way, it doesn't look so great now does it?

Because you are including his two worst years at LSU and disregarding one of his best.

Okay, how about Auburn? Fires its NC winning coach after one losing season, seems to be right back up there.

Or Stanford? Harbaugh leaves and the school doesn't miss a beat with Shaw.

Or Oregon? Chip Kelly's replacement seems to be doing just fine.

But, but...they have not won an NC! Nor has Miles when he's had a team solely of players HE recruited.

No, WE (as in this thread and what the OP is about) are taking a look at life as LSU since 2007, and matching it up against the history of what LSU is really about - if you remove the era from 2001-2007. It's par for the course.

Let me know next time LSU goes winless in the SEC or Oregon or Stanford win a NC.

When we finish the year at 10-3 with this years team that is all most experts predicted for this year. I am not giving up and saying we want be any better with Miles in the coming years. If next year comes and I see no improvement then I'll say that Miles has lost it. I'm not falling off the cliff. Yet

One rebuilding year? This season or next season? Which One?

Thankfully, someone was paying attention.

Are you really comparing going win less in the SEC to what Les has done here?

Did they just play the hellish month of October we did? Didn't Oregon just drop a game as well? Isn't it general consensus around here that Bama would destroy both Stanford and Oregon if given the chance?

If Les goes winless in the SEC we can fire him

I will be right there with you.

Anyone who expected us to be as good as we've been the last couple of years after losing that many players in the draft is as delusional as it gets.

I don't like the Chavis bashing. Dude hasn't forgot how to coach. He had the right call against yeldon last yr and s blew it. Bama did. Itching fancy last night. Than ran it down our throats cuz we lack talent up front and at lb. They did the same things others have done. Do you notice Bama's db's never make tackles on runs between the tackles? Why? Their LB'ers are outstanding and ours are totally inept. WE DO NOT HAVE THE D PERSONNEL TO BE ELITE. Were in a talent slump. Miles is not a precision guy or x's o's coach. But, he's our guy until at least 2015. Not ready to throw in the towel just yet, but I'm very concerned about where we are.

Seeing as how a single snap of next season hasn't been played (hence the term NEXT season. You see... makes sense now huh?) I think you could probably safely assume that I'm talking about this season.

Let me help you out - and save your blood pressure in the process. It won't get better next year. Will be about the same.

So we were elite during Sabans tenure here with him averaging 2-3 losses a year but we're not elite now averaging about the same? Interesting......and biased.

Doubtful. We'll have a much easier path to the SEC championship game next year. We will be in the mix for an SEC championship at the end of the year.

And I think I'm the only person on this board who isn't on the verge of a stroke so you can probably feel comfortable with my blood pressure levels.

No stroke here. I had the big one on 1/9 that pretty much did me in with that.
