Because I can't think of another reason why this coach is still around. Dude has the stench of death on him.

Oh well. Like I said, hardly anyone cares.

Baseball, the second most favored LSU sport, is up.

Firing him right now doesn't accomplish much

Not making a temporary change that accomplishes nothing, then having to make another, more permanent change later.

Just make the change once so you don't have to have interim complications.

For football you could argue that there was something to salvage. For basketball there's nothing on the line. Pride? There's been no pride since we lost our first SEC game.

Just wait till the end of the year and say goodbye.

Y'all just don't get it. King Alexander is your problem. He is calling all the shots. He doesn't want to spend money so he is handcuffing Joe. Both of them need to be fired. King Alexander and Joe need to go.

Going by his football search and hire, he doesn't care about football either.

It shows what a classless dick Alleva can be. He fires a football coach who actually produced elite teams four games into a season, but lets a basketball coach who hasn't ever done shite for LSU remain for the whole season.

Alleva has no business still being the LSU AD.

I have no problem with allowing Johnny to coach out the season.

I doubt LSU hires another coach worth a damn however.

Alexander and Alleva need to go.

LSU basketball team looks like some kind of Southland Conference team. It's just awful. Subpar facilities. Apathetic fanbase. God awful coaching. Sad state of affairs. Let's just raze the PMAC and shut it down.

King Alexander is a cancer to LSU. Alleva is his willing puppet.

How do y'all not understand the difference in football vs basketball. Football had boosters willing and ready to fire Miles and were beating Alleva's door down to do it. Those same boosters don't care nearly as much about basketball. The ones that would be screaming fire Jones the most are the ones that got him hired.

Fully agree. I can't see the rush to get rid of JJ as long as Alleva and Alexander will be choosing his replacement.

Are these the same boosters who couldn't come up with the money to hire anyone but a DL coach.

Action speaks louder than words and these boosters shite in their bed when it came time to put up the money to get LSU a proven guy. And please don't tell me out of all the head coaches in college football a DL guy was the best we could do.

We went cheap on a HC. O might turn out to better than Saban, but the hiring process and hire, at this time, shows me Alleva is clueless and these boosters should keep their mouths shut if the best they can do for LSU is an unproven DL coach.

Alleva went cheap and easy for the HC while spending most of the saved money on the OC and DC contracts based on the immortal binder. The money was there but spent in an unusual way. It was basically a wash.

If the money was there, why isn't Jimbo at LSU. Why isn't Herman. Why isn't any number of other proven to be successful head coaches. This idea that every other HC in college football was flawed in some way and thereby making O the best option if we back him up with the highest paid coordinators in the game is laughable.

Alleva is clueless and I have little faith in his ability to hire coaches for LSU who will make LSU more than average to bad. Given his track record here, I don't see how anyone can be hopeful that he will do any better in basketball than he did in football.

We all need to include LSU sports in our prayers because this isn't getting much better with Alleva pulling the strings.
