He basically acknowledges the only difference between the two is some fortunate luck for Miles and getting into the NC.
Does "basically" equal "partially" and does "only" equal "one of many":

Miles, though, is also four years removed from his last SEC championship. Richt’s drought had reached a decade. More pertinently, LSU currently plays in a division where six other teams are also capable of going 5-3. Georgia went 5-3 in a division with Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Missouri and South Carolina.

The people that really follow football see what is happening. We were making a move to right the ship (a painful move) and the shortsighted administrator stabbed us in the back. Alexander will be gone within 3 years.

it's amazing how 99% of the media and college football fans know nothing about LSU the guys that want Miles fired are the only ones that watch LSU....even though we're one of the most televised teams in the country

Talking heads thrive on mob rule. They are only marginally accountable to the truth.

Choctaw, anybody who watched LSU football this season could tell you that LSU is a poorly-coached football team.

I share Coach Vince Lombardi's football philosophy. Ask yourself a simple question: What would Lombardi say after he watched LSU play football this season and last season?

One thing he would say is that LSU, the University and the football powers that be have a high tolerance for bad football coaching.

100% agree.
Miles is not responsible for the defense.
Nor is he responsible for the special teams, offense, attrition, recruiting lapses, game planning, discipline, etc.

Miles's job consists of not answering questions and being a father figure for his players. He is doing those things exceptionally well.

Sounds like Mandel simply believes Georgia deserves more success than it's been achieving in the east while LSU should be satisfied going 5-3 in the west.

Mandel is a simpleton.

That 3-4 defense in that game though was still not a good matchup for us until they started to wear down a bit.

Didn't you say on here last week that you were okay with firing Miles and you recently said you wanted to give him one more year? Why do you think that?
