Because he would have been on the runner up team in college football, but now he is on a team that has a chance to win the SuperBowl, (The Biggest Game in football). Barring an injury he would have been one of the main players for LSU in the title game that ended up losing and now he may not even dress for the superbowl. Great future either way for him though, could end up being a 3rd down feature back like Faulk was.

Unless you have a link, I really dont want to hear this... Everyone has bad games and it happens like that to everyone! Woodhead fumbled out of the endzone and it turned into points for the Ravens and he came back the very next kickoff and returned another. I really dont see this statement as valid...

How do you go from playing a lot to being "unavailable" without an injury?

A fumble?

#39 almost cost NE the game with his fumble
Wow!

do you think that was a catch at the end of the game?

Yes, that's why he wasn't active.

I wondered why they didn't challenge the catch. It's worth a shot

Means they RELEASED the names of the players that will be inactive for that game.

He's still on the team.

I thought the ravens should have challenged the catch in the end zone for a touchdown. It was clearly a catch w/ a few stutter steps afterwards, then the ball was knocked loose.

Yes and no.

The two fumbles were in fact the reason he was inactive, and fumbling is indeed "performance"-related.

But aside from the fumbles, the rest of his performance factors have been quite good, which is why he had 39 carries for 210 yards in the final 3 games of the regular season, far more carries than any other string of games this season. In other words, he has been performing very well OVERALL, and the fumbling problem will be dealt with next summer at camp.

Faulk had notorious fumbling problems in his first two seasons, losing 6 out of 9 of them. But he's still there in N.E., in his 13th season, hoping for a 4th SB ring.

BB likes Ridley - he'll be okay.

Coaches can't challenge in OT. It has to come from the replay booth.
