Neal is not a 3-4 DE. He's waaay to small for that. Neal is like 6'1" 250lb. A 3-4 DE is going to be 30-40lbs heavier. In a 3-4 he'd probably be a rushing LB.

Aranda doesn't run a "traditional 3-4"

I just want to restart the season right now with Aranda coaching; a mulligan, right now.

Unless he influences offense the season would look the same.

No Bower

For some reason he isn't really liked on this board but he is much better suited to be a 3-4 OLB than Neal.

2014: Chavis
-beat ole miss scoring 10 pts..
-OT w bama scoring 10 points

2015: steele
- I think you see my point

Not being ranked in the 40s in scoring defense would have helped a lot this past season

Neal is 264. Wisconsin's starting DE last season was 268 and his backup was 264 as well. Aranda runs a one gap 3-4, he doesn't need 285 pound ends.

Defense gave up an average of 435 yards against Alabama, Arkansas, and Ole Miss.

I'm expecting more of a 3-4 hybrid than a base 3-4. It'll maximize our personal.

Thank you for that, I'm so tired of reading "we don't have the guys for this or that position" Aranda runs an attacking 1gap 34 defense, I mean, look at his guys at Wisky, none of them would fit the bama 34...Also, I'll trust that whatever we run next year it will be befitting to the guys we do have, Aranda doesn't strike me as a square peg round hole guy...hopefully some other coaches pay attention to his philosophy
