Idk. Maybe when you see that one of those hitters can't get it done with runners on YOU frickING BUNT HIM.

Manieri sacrificed at least two runs by letting Raph swing away yesterday.

Yes, lets bunt our 5-hole hitter with a slumping Ibarra behind him. You are just not that smart.

Ibarra hit great all year til Omaha
Bregman started on a small downhill in the regionals

They hit great all year before that

Y'all think Mainieri forgot to tell them to hit?
Hitters go into slumps and low points.

Theirs just came at a bad time.
The game just goes like that.

Hitters have to hit. That's what they are there for.

and when they are in an 0-for-forever slump and you need to advance a runner in a tight game you bunt.

Anyone can debate that one.. maybe he thought they were due. I get it.

But you know whats not debatable? The UNC catcher was a backup and was 2-16 in throwouts to second. We had tons of base runners, and how many times did we test him and try to steal? none. We even had Laird (speed) on first at least once i recall late in the game. Huge missed opportunity. Put pressure on him. Maybe the ball goes in to CF and we even get 3rd.

Thats pretty tough to defend.

You must have Guava Jelly in your head instead of brains.

"when you see that one of those hitters can't get it done"? While Raph certainly had a propensity to hit into DPs "can't get it done"? Look at his last three years and whether he got it done.

"sacrificed two runs"? You could argue that PM sacrificed ten runs and both arguments would just as implausible.

You are a buffoon for arguing that the bunt was the only way to go.If Raph, who hadn't bunted ALL Year, had bunted into a double play you would be bitching about that.

I bet you were a great college baseball coach in the past.

Bunt/no bunt. Rhymes, Bregman, Ibarra, Jones, pop ups, etc.
To me, Stonybrook knocked LSU out of the 2013 CWS. If LSU makes the trip last year, i think the result is different this year. Not very common for first year teams to have much success in College World Series, especially this park. I know Miss St is 2-0, but like i said, not common.
