How will you guys feel when our expierenced possibly Elite team next year goes 8-5 with a new coach due to scheme changes ect? Just wondering since this board has it all figured out.

(miles won't leave and I hope he's here till retirement)

The same way our elite talent last year lost 3 games and our elite talent in 2011 didn't win a NC I would guess.

Maybe you should just ask yourself what would you think if he left and the new coach turned our offense full of talent into an impressive product and won the SEC? Two way street pumper.

Chavis is gone if Miles leaves. Think about that.

Probably correct. He wants the gig real bad but the anti Miles faction at UM are digging in. Only way they entertain offering him is if all other potential hires fall thru and that faction is left with no choice but to grin and take it for the team.

Please stop. Miles is going nowhere. Have you nothing better to do?

Yeah I'm sure Chavis would be gone if Miles leaves, but he's not the only defensive coordinator in the world obviously. Chavis is an excellent coach, but LSU need a head coaching change terribly and if he's a loss included in that then so be it.

I wouldn't be be happy but would understand that at least we're trying something instead of beating our faces into the wall.

You could get Snyder or Pelini. Corch BOOM will get another head gig.

And how will you feel when they go 12-1 with a coach who can coach the talent we have on offense?

Let's see, Malzahn at Auburn and Meyer at Ohio St, um, how did they do in their 1st year?

Just wondering since you have nothing figured out.

You are right about one thing, Miles will not leave. What a damn shame.

Why would anyone want to hire Miles? Seriously? The guy is known nationally as a goof? Good bad or ugly... Nobody wants that perception as the face of their program... Plus.. They know the real shortcomings of Miles and know he is not elite and will loose 2+ games just from poor preparation and goofy play calling...

We'd probably just use all the same excuses the pumpers will use when we go 8-5 with Miles next year

Why would that happen? It hasn't happened through seven coaching changes in the last 50 years. The last time a first-year LSU head coach posted a record that was not as good as the last year of the previous coach was when Charles McClendon, following a 10-1 season by Paul Dietzel in 1961, dropped all the way off to 9-1-1 in 1962. Since then..

1979 McClendon 7-5 ====> 1980 Stovall 7-4
1983 Stovall 4-7 ====> 1984 Arnsparger 8-3-1
1986 Arnsparger 9-3 ====> 1987 Archer 10-1-1
1990 Archer 5-6 ====> 1991 Hallman 5-6
1994 Hallman 4-7 ====> 1995 DiNardo 7-4-1
1999 DiNardo 3-8 ====> 2000 Saban 8-4
2004 Saban 9-3 ====> 2005 Miles 11-2

The main thing I've figured out is that you haven't got a clue what you're talking about when it comes to the effect of coaching changes.
