This acquisition makes me so happy. I can’t wait to see TM7 in the Black & Gold. (Can he wear #7 on defense or would Taysom have to give his number up?

Perfect example of a Win/Win.

His story is amazing. Humble beginnings in NOLA, then St Aug, then LSU, then questionable decisions, then NFL, then Super Bowl ring, the the potential to end his playing career back in NOLA.

Then he begins next phase of his life by moving 80 miles up the Missossippi River and works for LSU in a coaching or recruiting capacity.

ESPN should do a 30 For 30 on him.

I agree, he is the most exciting player I have ever seen in Tiger stadium. Hope he doesn’t falll in with his old crowd, though.

I love Frank Wilson’s story about watching him at camp the first time. Destroying everyone he covered. Seemingly coming out of nowhere. Frank was at Tennessee at the time. Ed O was there too. Frank told Ed and Lane Kiffin (who was the head coach at the time) they need to offer that kid. They wanted nothing to do with him.

Sometimes you miss. Sometimes you miss BIG.

He has absolutely no reason to associate with people that were negative influences on him over a decade ago. He's 30 years old, has a family, and has made more than all of those assholes combined x2. I doubt this will be a concern.

It’s absolutely laughable to even question if it would be. Absolutely laughable.

One of the dumbest things I’ve seen brought up on this board. He’s been in the NFL multiple years and has won a….,

You know what? It doesn’t even require anymore of my time.

What “drugs” are we talking about? Because all I’ve ever heard he did was weed.

Secondly, he’s shown zero signs of reverting back to anything. Nothing. He had some wild college days. Made some questionable decisions early in his life. Like 99% of the world. Now he’s an adult. Insinuating something like what y’all are insinuating when there have been zero signs of it is not only disrespectful, it’s completely off the rails.

Seriously hope this will be good for Tyrann and he doesn’t fall back into old habits being back in NOLA.

Dude , he smoked weed. Y’all act like he was on the corner selling himself for a rock of crack.
He was immature and that caused him to not take the weed tests seriously. He wasn’t a drug addict or in a gang or some shite.

I doubt he goes to a crack house in the hood after practice

My concern is people injecting themselves back into someone's life against that other person's will.

Hey Dude - Tyrann admitted his problems started with hanging around with the wrong people growing up in NOLA. He was also very open about not spending a lot of time in NOLA when he went back for his grandmother’s funeral. I get he was young and impressionable but people can sometimes fall back into bad habits before they realize it. I sincerely hope this will not be the case.
He has done a lot of good for a lot of people since he got to the NFL.

Happy for him as well. It's a great story.

Honey Badger, you got your wish. Don't mess this up. Please come into camp in shape, ready to play and ready to learn.

Ok…

But why show concern for something like that when it has not been an issue? He has literally shown no signs of reverting back to his teenage/early 20s habits. He has had literally zero issues.

Try to give the man some credit instead of insinuating doubt. I mean, at least wait until he’s shown any sign whatsoever he could possibly revert back. And again, all I know of him is that he may have had some rough friends and smoked weed. Y’all act like he was in and out of jail and murdering people ffs

But carry on I suppose. I guess some people have to spend their life proving people wrong. TM7 is one of those people. And his success speaks for itself.

Why try to throw cold water on a great homecoming? Seems like a great guy. If he had played in 2012, we win a championship

You don’t go to drug rehab for smoking pot. I thought it was the synthetic marijuana that he was smoking.
