He was there with his fiancé Pam Matassa.

Is this for real?? If so....damn. He is 78, she is mid 40's. She isn't married anymore? Matassa is her first married name...

Damn, didn't know her and Trey got divorced. Guess Trey didn't have enough steaks in the freezer. She's such a gold digger.

I dont know him but I do know this..he was 78 and had been head of Alumni Association for over 20 years during which we were near bottom of endowment in SEC the entire time and still are despite his $300k+++ current pay. I also read the paper and followed what happened, JUST by those facts he is a total disgrace in his work and possibly as a person if ANY of the charges are true or any of the rumors....he should NOT be on the field with an LSU name tag on no matter how he got the field pass.

Saw where he resigned... what did he do ? Sat beside him on the flight to LSU-Vandy game in Nashville in 1977 ( my freshman year ). Seemed like a nice guy.

He shoplifted the pootie (on a daily basis apparently) and gave out jobs and benefits in exchange basically.

From those in & around the Alumni Association, Robert's rep is much like EWE's but in a different vein. EWE didn't steal one time & get caught one time. Roberts didn't mess around one time & get caught this one time. Both sharpened their skills over yrs & yrs. Roberts may well not be evil, but he's not one I want associated with LSU in any capacity, regardless of the "good" things he's done. EWE did a lot of "good" things, too.

Meanwhile, Roberts's attorney filed a response on Monday to the lawsuit accusing Heath of prostitution. The motion asks for the lawsuit to be dismissed on the basis that if what Heath alleges is true -- that Roberts promised her money to continue their sexual relationship -- then the contract is voided.

Mary Olive Pierson, Roberts' attorney, told NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune contracts are unenforceable if the object of the contract is illegal or "against public morals." For example, she said, if person were to hire a hit man to kill someone, they cannot sue the hit man for failure to follow through with the contract.

"An agreement for payment of compensation for the remainder of a person's life for sex is not enforceable," a motion filed by Pierson on Roberts' behalf says. It continues: "Sex for compensation is prohibited by law in Louisiana," and it goes on to define prostitution.

Ah, the old "but she's a ho" defense.
