He's from Cincinnati, Ohio but he's supposedly considering Penn State, Miami, and UCLA.

Penn State is much closer to home than LSU is but that's still gotta be a 6-8 hr drive I'd bet.
Miami and UCLA make no sense if he's missing momma.

Thought he had potential....

Most definitely. He was a project player at the tackle position.

The fact is that LSU has several quality players which can line up outside:

Mae Teuhema
K.J. Malone
Chidi Okeke
Jakori Savage
Toby Weathersby
Willie Allen (injured)

I'm not sure where Brown fit in the rotation outside of the guys who have received reps at the starting positions (Teuhema, Malone, and Weathersby), but considering Allen's injury you would think he wouldn't be too far out of the mix.

Jeff Grimes has a tendency to sign at least one prospect each year that seems like somewhat of a head-scratcher. George Brown Jr. just happened to be that guy for the 2015 recruiting class. He wasn't a very highly touted player in terms of star rankings and was not local, but he possesses an ideal, athletic frame for an offensive tackle.

It's a shame things didn't work out. Best of luck to him.

I am beginning to wonder what's up with the number of recent transfers. Then again, offensive line and wide receiver are arguably the team's two deepest positions.

Had a class with him last semester. He seemed like a cool dude. Apparently he and his dad are really into fitness and own a gym I believe back in Ohio. He did say in class one day if I remember correctly that he really liked Florida when they recruited him but chose LSU instead. Best of luck to him wherever he goes.

Really disappointed by this. I thought Brown was our most natural LT at 6'7" and would develop into the role. I guess he didn't feel like he was in line for PT.

I remember him talking about probably taking a red shirt to gain good weight after he signed. Also read earlier this summer an article that said do not discount Brown as a possible starter and seemed to impress in the spring.

Whatever the reason, best of luck to him.

Well all photos and relationship status is gone from my cousin's facebook. This may be a reason. They broke up.

Hope for the best for the guy. A lot of the times I'm sure a bunch of these kids get anxious thinking about their future. Seeing other lower class men getting a lot of publicity and playing time. Thinking that if they go to a new place things will change for them. Often times it doesn't but sometimes it does. It's probably hard going from being the guy in high school to just being seen as a back up.

He is a redshirt freshman on a top 5 preseason team that the ESPN Collge Football Preview said is second to none in talent nationwide. And he was running with the 2's reportedly in many of the practices. You have got to kidding me. I'm tired of this playing time excuse stuff. These kids seem to think that they automatically deserve playing time. If that is why he left then that is stupid. Jeez.

When? Was it this week? I wonder if they broke up cause he was leaving, or if he's leaving cause he was whipped and she dumped him for a starter.

Find out mayne
