Exactly right.

There is no tomorrow.

If there are rain delays and State somehow ties the series, I would expect the State ace could be back say on a Tuesday.

All this crap about State having no pitching is pure propaganda. They didn't get to BR without pitching.

while it's a fact that some of their expected starters were lost early in the year to injury they still had some talent and they developed nicely during the year. they are still short of SEC level guys and in a long series they have to pitch guys we would leave on the bench and hope for the best.

Yes, definitely takes the wind out of our sails. Spencer Price only threw 1 inning though so I wouldn't say he's "used up". Thankfully we saved Billingsly who still gives us at least a good shot tonight, but we're fricked tomorrow if we even get there.

But in s 2/3 anything can happen and it usually does.

And State can hit so if our arms slip and they have a guy or two step up and something crazy happens you can lose real fast.

Even the rain can be a factor.

I expect them to fight like they have been all year. If Poche is on though LSU wins.

Billingsley threw a complete game against S.Miss, so he is more than capable but then he's been averaging only 5 innings an outting if I read his stats right. Need to get to him early & expose their pen. Do not want another game like last nite but this is far from a gimmie going by their performance in Hattisburg. S.Miss was a legit #1 seed.

Well, that was a quick hook for Billingsley.

For a team with no pitchers these relievers are just good enough.

We need to get a bead on one of them.
