So do you start Eades or Glenn vs Jackson St?

If this has been discussed I couldn't find it via the search function. Either way, I lean towards Eades. Assuming both LSU and ULL make it to Sunday, a good hitting team like ULL usually is more vulnerable against a crafty lefty like Glenn instead of a power righty like Eades. Glenn also has proven already that he can beat ULL and has been more consistent during the last month or so. Can't go wrong with either choice, but Eades-Nola-Glenn seems like the best bet for this weekend.

the problem with starting Eades is that it puts Glen going Game3 and IMO I doubt Eades will pitch Game1or2 in the Super (I would think Glenn will pitch Game1or2 in the Super).

Glenn will be pitching game1 the regional IMO. But i guess you never know what PM might have up his sleeve.

Well, I was a little premature in that comment, but I think you would pitch Nola/Glenn in Game1/2 of Super. Maybe not, though. There's a couple ways you could do it, but if was guessing we'll go Glenn/Nola/Eades in the regional and the same in the Super with possibly Glenn and Nola switching for the Super.

No matter what, Eades won't be pitching GAme1 Super, I think we can easily rule that option out.

Eades against J State, let him get a dominating performance in to get him ready for the Supers.
Nola dominates ulala/Sam Houston on Saturday
Glenn is set up great for the Sunday championship game against either team; both teams will be low on arms giving LSU's offense the opportunity to stack some runs up for Glenn on Championship Sunday.

This is how it all works out in my mind FWIW

As I said in a similar thread yesterday, I'd go with Eades against Jackson St.. He need more of a confidence boost than any of them. This gives you Nola for the "marble" game 2. Glenn is very capable of finishing any of the teams in the regional in the final. I don't think this weekend's rotation will have any bearing on the Super rotation. Plenty of rest for all three before that, assuming it happens.

Maybe let Hunter Newman start again. Get him a little more work in case we need him in Omaha. Maybe let him throw 4 or 5 innings then throw a couple of other guys 2 innings each. Save Nola until the regional finals.

Nola is pitching Game2 of the regional. Everyone agrees on that.

Game2 is the most important game of the regional.

Newman. pitched more than well enough to take care of Jackson State, and leaves you with all 3 weekend starters if you need them

I'd rather someone with a bit more experience than Newman when it comes to a regional. That's why I'd go with Eades. However, Newman has proven himself to be capable if CPM makes that call.
