Anyone listening to the game remember what he said about the philosophy That made Skip amazing?

Todd said something about "Not complaining about the 3rd strike becauE where were you for the first two?"

How did it go?

It's not your fault that you struck out. It's my fault that I recruited you in the first place.

Classic Bertman. Btw, I hoped they flushed the little toilet after last night...

Maybe transferring fault? Blaming someone/something else on your own failures.

He called it transfer of blame. Don't blame ump for 3rd strike when you had two others to do something.

Something that's a common thing in today's society, sadly.

"I have these problems bc I did this, this and this, but it's their fault."

One of the attributes I attribute to the better coaches is that they never allow officiating to be an acceptable excuse for losing and they don't dwell on it.

It's all fine and good for us as fans, that's what we do. But if you allow that culture into your program as a coach you are doomed.

I have heard that story in reference to a bunch of old players. It's a classic go to skip story.
