I have no problem with the stadium piping in music that the players like. It's their game.

weren't at the Kentucky game were ya Smalls? Played an Irish thing to remember the Dublin trip, covered 'Vertigo' by U2 and played a Tower of Power song.
so for once in a blue moon the show was not something horrendous.

The drum major this year is terrible. She can't even throw and catch the baton like our drum majors usually do, so she just spins it.
I know that playing "Ants Marching" and "Jungle Boogie" are considered some sort of band tradition, but it's time for those to be retired because they are old and stale.

I would actually say to turn up the volume of the music when it is played, but just play much much less of it.

I noticed last week that for defense on a 3rd down they would pipe in the drop of an electronic song. It really helped the student section get loud.

The nice thing is all you young whippersnappers will be said "old white men" at some point in time. You'll be surprised at how much some things in life come to mean to you once you reach said "old white men" status. As for the music itself, it's a non issue for me. But I read rant after rant about Mike the Tiger no longer being in TS & how that's a huge violation of a TS tradition. To me, the band is a similar tradition & just as meaningful.
