Auburn?? Didnt they just fire their coach.

Yeah, and in a couple of seasons they won the SEC and came down to the wire for the National Championship last year. They don't live in the past.

all good points - so we fire him to find the guy out there that can hang in the SEC West - you have to find that guy ! when you look at the resumes on the LSU staff do you not think that they want to win each football game ? Is it all on CLM ? We see what we don't like but it isn't easy to fix it and still win - Gators Auburn Bama
we got to play em every year - now Arky Ole piss MSU aTm they are after the ring every year ! would you fire Les and move on ?

Guy is obsessed with Alabama. Feel bad for him if he is actually an LSU fan.

Im 62 - the past is when we played Norte Dame 3-0 ~!

2011 we played Bama for all the marbles ! 2014 we are beating Bama with 50 sec to go and they have no time outs !

Ok, I never chime into these threads because there are so many... But here is my beef with Miles: He's a great recruiter and a great guy. He wins a lot of games. He's a great face and name for our University and a good ambassador. But... I'm looking at guys like Hill, OBJ, Landry, Mett, Peterson, Reid, Mathieu, Brockers, Riley (REPRESENT), Wing etc etc etc and I'm asking myself how did we not at least win 1 National Championship with those guys... And the simple fact is he game plans not lose in the 4th Qtr... And that is all hunky dory against teams like A&M and such... But our biggest hurdle is Alabama and they are coached to making sure they do not have to win it in the 4th, but if they have to they damn well better and they do a FAR better job doing that then we do not losing it in the 4th. And Alabama has, in my opinion, taken the 2011 and 2012 National Championships from us. I do not understand how we have to hold off a team like A&M after dominating them, but we blow it against Alabama... It's mind boggling to me how inconsistent our wins and losses are. It's frustrating to watch him consistently try and force a player into a system that doesn't fit his scheme... He is not flexible in that regard and I feel like our offense is so inconsistent because the schemes seem to stay the same no matter who is in, and that to me is our problem.

Man you may take a little heat off me with these kind of posts. Obviously no one let you know good ole les is the best thing to hit Baton Rouge since gumbo. Just ask around

Just like 2012. How'd that go? How's that working out for Bama?

Enjoy playing to second and your Music City berth next Tuesday afternoon.

No, I would not fire him haha. He has a resume' that speaks for itself and it would be hard pressed to find a better coach that would actually leave where they are to come to LSU... But at some point he has to realize that he needs to do something, whether or not that is trusting someone else to make a decision like the starting QB and what system that QB can run best.

I look at Jennings and that offense does nothing to exploit what he does best.

I look at Harris and that offense does nothing to exploit what he does best.

I feel like these players come to LSU and they have to start from scratch to develop into what LSU wants to do rather than what they excel at. And at some point I want our staff to recruit a QB, and design a system that exploits what he does best.

I feel like the offense we currently have takes a Drew Brees to run it, and Drew Brees isn't walking through that door.

Even if you want to give Less credit for "coaching up" the likes of OBJ, Mett, Landry (Les taught him to catch?), and Hill, you have to deduct major points for his inability to maximize what they do in games. Would you rather have a "practice coach" or a "game coach?"

BTW, I think all of these guys had pretty good skills before coming to LSU. Shepard was a special talent that was never "coached up" before he got to the NFL.

103-28, 58-26 with 3 west titles, 2 SEC titles, and 2 BCSCG appearances. Tell me the programs with that kinda "football" going on???

Some seem upset that we have a HC who has a likable personality as well as a top 3-5 in the BCS/SEC career going for him.

Must really suck for some that Miles seems to be a successful man in most avenues of his life. I guess...judging by the reaction some have to Miles being a well liked man as well as a highly successful coach.

I asked these questions in response to you're "3 of the most prolific offenses ever" comment. And why u posting my profile? You want to hook up or something?

Here's some facts for you, what type of quarterbacks had those 3 out of 5 best passing years?

Why type of quarterbacks does miles keep recruiting?

What type of passing stats did we have against bama, auburn, Florida and the like during these 3 out of 5 best years?

When we don't have the type of QB's that had those stats we rank in the bottom 20% in passing, yet he keeps recruiting allegedly duel threat QB's to run a pro style offense and rarely can they run or throw or make decisions very well. Why?

Pump on!!!

profile I was going for your name - as for hanging with you - Im sure you couldn't keep up with me !!

It's bugs people like you that your dumb Les O doesn't hang with 3 of 5 of the best passing teams in LSU history. Fact is that Les trys to do the best with what hes got. Does he miss to often on QB yep - has he had some tough luck yep but I agree luck has little to do with winning over the long haul - oh yea - I will Pump On

East Carolina Pirates Stats - 2008-2014
Passing Statistics
YDS CMP%
24,379 64.9

LSU Tigers Stats - 2008-2014
Passing Statistics
YDS CMP%
13,907 58.0

I guess top prospect QBs would rather play at powerhouse East Carolina.
