Do yourself a favor and look at our DT recruits since 2009.

I see plenty of SEC caliber players. Just not stars.

What has gone wrong with LSU's recruiting at that position?

Apparently several of the big named guys in 2013 haven't transitioned well to college.

DT is hard as shite to predict for college. A lot of guys are dominant in HS because they are just bigger than everyone else.

Do we even have any juniors playing? Calm the hell down and be patient.

Rasco and Justin Maclin were both top 5 DE's the years they came out I believe.

We are recruiting elite talent. Some times they just don't pan out.

Rasco was a beast in HS and everyone would have lost their minds if he had went to Texas. He just peaked in HS.

you changed your thread title and made it even worse.

I already told you a bunch of top talent we got at DT. all these guys were at least 4 stars. Freak was a 5*.

quote:

pretty much everybody wanted guys like Ego, Gilmore, Bain, Herron, Godchaux, and Valentine

and you realize there are 14 schools in the SEC, right? pretty sure all of our guys would be on a roster on at least one team. hell, they were offered by most of em.

ppl say SEC caliber when they mean All-SEC/ star caliber.

Is that what you expect the norm to be? Each recruiting class resulting in 3 1st round defensive line draft picks??

WTF are you talking about? He is doing fine. There are plenty of DL that haven't panned out but he is not one of them.

He certainly is not dominant.

I'm not calling him a bust or anything. He just isn't a dominant like what I think this thread is about.

No, you are just retarded. Th Dline development has sucked but not because we didn't recruit them.

Then what is it?...2010 we had the Johnsons. One underachieved the other hasn't played. 2011 is what we are playing now and look what we got. 2012 we had 0 Dlinemen. 2013 we got Bain, Neil, Herron and we know how that's going. 2014 thank god for Devin buy the other two are not playing and may not ever play.
