Laron and it isn't close. Laron more than any player in my lifetime played to kill. He wanted to end whoever he hit.

Laron punished fools no doubt, but I loved me some Chad Jones.
My favorite Chad Jones play besides him striking out the side against Texas in the CWS was when he separated John Parker Wilson from the football in 07. good times.

Sorry this isn't close. Laron was a top 10 talent that was an absolute headhunter. Chad had all the God given talent in the world, but no one hit like Laron.

Easily Laron, while Jones could lay the would he tended to blow assignments going for the big play while Laron laid the wood far more often because he was consistently in the correct position.

Laron doled out a lot of punishment during his time at LSU, but he also got trucked worse than any player I've seen in the NFL when he met up with Brandon Jacobs one time.

On that hit on JPW, I love watching the 2 O lineman staring at at each other like thats your man, no thats your man. If I'm JPW I atomic bomb both their jock straps.

Laron had more big hits, but Jones' hardest hit (on Joe Adams, 2009) was harder than any hit Laron had.
