Would be all for it, but how can we make it happen?

From Dandy's site this morning:

quote:

Miles called him again last week and extended an invitation to him to attend the Alabama game. Unfortunately, Sid’s condition has declined and he is now under hospice care. I ask that you all keep Sid and his family in your prayers.

Read Dandy Don --- Sid is not doing well, moved to hospice care.... seriously the poor kid may not make it until Nov 7th.

Les invited him to the game, but family had to decline as Sid's health does not allow for travel at this point.

Sad story, but the end is near for this young man.

That sucks for the kid and his family...football aside. Going through Hospice care watching your son die is got to be one of the worst things. I did it with my mom and couldn't imagine it with one if my kids . Prayers to this young man and his family.

Look at all the lives Sid has changed.

I'm not saying it isn't tragic, but if you believe in God then you should also be able to see how powerfully he is working through Sid. Sid knows that and has embraced it. He is ready to go home

I hope he can at least watch the game. I hope his last few days or weeks are as peaceful as possible.

Y'all don't know what are talking about just an FYI......Sid has been under hospice since last week!!!!!

Sid is going to go when he wants to go, so unless y'all are gumbo1984, then I wouldn't post anything about him other than he is in your thoughts and prayers!

This wasn't intended for you butch....but this also isn't a change in Sid's status.

If heaven is indeed real and a multitude better than earth, with no pain and suffering, why would you be angry with God if he got there sooner?

For people who only have learned about and have gotten updates about this poor kid through TD, why are you being an ahole towards them? Clearly, everyone feels for this kid and truly wishes him peace and wellness. This should put things in perspective for all. If anything, Sid knows that he will be in everyone's mind that day whether present or not. It will be another motivating factor for the team.

Just because you are on a message board doesn't mean you can be a spokesman for someone you care about via the Internet...my brothers 5 year old son died of cancer and nothing pissed me off more than other people speaking about his condition through hearsay and word of mouth....there are ways to get updated and do it respectfully and correctly.

Unless the OP is an Ortis or closely related, he shouldn't be making post that have no merit on this young man other than he is on his mind!
