Assuming we win out, had we made a coaching change at the end of last season we could easily be a 1 loss team with a playoff spot. We heard all the talk about administrative pressure etc.... just sickening to know what could have been.

What was Joe to do if the university President and majority of Board of Trustees is telling him that Les won't be fired?

Another Alleva hate thread... how is it his fault for F. King Alexander ruining the last minute deal??

After the A&M game you couldn't get away with firing Miles. Auburn was the right time.

You realize it was miles that brought aranda in? If he was fired last season who knows what this defense looks like

There is no way anyone can convince me that the same BOT allowed JA to put feelers out there to hire a coach without following through with a hire.

We would have lost some top talent to the NFL had Miles left. Don't know if it would have made a difference.

What good hire has he made in a money sport. JA is along for the ride cashing big checks off the fortunes of others.
Look at his history at Duke no further than the lacrosse team. Dude is a joke.

Also: Cam Cameron is the reason why we have Danny Etling.

That's debatable, I agree LM made a great hire in Aranda. Who's to say a new coach would have not made the same hire. I would think Aranda come to LSU was more to do with coaching elite talent.

I lived in Greensboro during that time. Trust me I am pretty sure I read and watched the news with better coverage. Dude just caved on the issue with the Lacrosse team.

I really don't care who they hire as long as JA has no say in this hire whatsoever. He does not have the guts to be patient and go get the very best candidate for LSU.
I remember a certain program in the West who took their time to make a hire and it paid off dividends. Our approach should be the same.

Didn't read any of this post except the title, but upvoted.

Been screaming this since we hired him. Dude left the Duke lacrosse team out to dry and has royally f*ed up every major decision he had to make (wbb program, cjj, Miles, marketing of Simmons and fornette, etc).

If anyone in their job went and tried to make a decision without the proper backing and completely screwed it up and dragged their company through the mud in the process, they would be fired ont the spot (less miles, jumbo situation last year). No matter the field, no matter the position. But we kept him and passed the blame. He is everything that is wrong with this university and needs to be terminated immediately.

It's sickening that you don't understand Joe wasn't the problem. He tried to replace Miles at the end of last season.

I live in NJ. What happened to the lacrosse team was tough, but in relation to everything else that Duke has to lose, was there really any other decision that could have been Made?

Would you want Joe Alleva to stand behind our soccer team in light of a serious gang rape?
