NCAA Champinship history has LSU a piece of the 1908 Championship.

Who is LSU not to recognize it??

1908 is debatable just because there was no commonly accepted way to decide the NC before the polls.
Other than that? No way. Claiming BS national titles like Ole Miss, Tennessee, A&M, and now Auburn is for pussies.

Why not? Other schools do it to boost their image.
There was no official system to crown a national champion back then. I think if your team was #1 in any poll at the end of the year then they at least have claim to a shared national title.

Where are they getting 12 SEC Championships from? I count 8 on the recognized site. I am guessing they are claiming that from probation years which is a silly thing to do. Makes them look very insecure that they can't just be proud of their legitimate history, (which is something to actually be proud of) but instead try to one up schools the SEC schools that are slightly ahead of them in reality.Truly delusional fan base.

If anyone has a claim to 1908 it's LSU. To not claim it is a disservice to the Tigers who played on that team. The others we should leave alone.

Gary Danielson said during the 2011 SEC Championship that LSU deserved at least a split of the natty of Bama were to beat us. It's a shame they had to beat us in that fashion. We'd have a great argument for one.

I think they are claiming for 2012-2013 season as well...just like 1993 - no bowl game or conference championship-so they should claim it...doesnt matter if they lost every game. I heard the other day that they were all set to defend their 2014 runners-up trophy.
