Dude's been lighting it up and we're unsure of how much Etling was infected by Les Miles

quote:

Etling wasn’t exactly impressive on Saturday, finishing 5-for-13 for 97 yards during the scrimmage. Justin McMillan finished 5-for-7 with 62 yards passing, while Lindsey Scott finished 3-for-7 with 40 yards passing and Lowell Narcisse finished 1-for-2 with 5 yards passing. Other LSU stats can be found on 247Sports.

I'd have to go with no for now. Etling played well enough last season to be a very effective game manager, and if he could hit the deep ball more often, he'd be like an AJ McCarron

I don't know coach. What do you think? It's only April 1st, maybe we should wait till late August before we make that decision.

LSU doesn't have a game changer at QB. Etling just may be the best of the worst

Your not going to beat bama with a game manager. You need a qb that can make things happen. If bama was your only loss you could still have chance at the playoffs tho.

No.

He's not the most experienced or the most talented. He should be a backup.

With Mcmillan (and scott) repping with and against the 2s only, its Hard to predict what that would look like. What's more important is how are the drives ending, and who is more efficient. Is etling throwing more so down field? Is mcmillan throwing a lot of bubble stuff, screens, or shovels? Don't put a lot into numbers that purport to describe reps that no one has seen.

Don't crap on the rest of the roster. They look good. Reality, O is not going over look Danny's experience.

I heard walk-on Ratphuc Hobley has looked good this spring. Hopefully Les gives him a chance

If Harris averaged 5-13 for 97 yds in first half, he may very well be our starting qb still. Not terrible numbers by Etling.

No words needed; just these yet again.

Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

I seriously need to change my Board Name to "Rolleyesbangheadcrazyahh" as I use those Emoticons so often, but I doubt if the Plejaren High Council would allow it............
