Should Coleman be the Friday starter?

I think Coleman is a better pitcher than Ranaudo. Don't get me wrong, Anthony is great, but I think Mainieri needs to shake things up a little to get the team playing better on Fridays.
Ranaudo pitches well enough for the team to win, but they don't seem to ever put runs on the board for him. It'll be better for the team if he goes on Saturday, where he won't go against the team's ace, so his bats can get him some more runs.
It's just something to think about. I think Coleman should go on Friday, Ranaudo on Saturday, and keep Ross on Sunday. That's a good spot for him.

I don't think the move could hurt

that might work.ranaudo seems to give up the homer often.

he has given up a lot of homers but he has pitched well enough to win. just doesn't get much run support

That's why I'm saying move him to Saturday. He'll get more run support not going against the other team's ace.

I like him on sunday as a total shut-down guy. PM is gonna shake shite up next weekend.

I like Coleman on Saturday, he gives us a decided advantage in most Saturday Matchups.

Ranaudo would give us that advantage, too.
Ranaudo may have the bigger arm, but Coleman is really our #1 guy. We can't keep sending out our #2 to throw against the other team's ace.

why not? Then we throw our #1 against their #2, and for your argument's sake, Ole Miss threw their #2 tonight and is throwing their #1 tomorrow. So, you are kind of getting what you want.

That's only this weekend. Most teams don't do that.

So throwing Coleman on Friday would help us swing the bat better??? Im not sure I agree.
The problem hasnt been pitching.

Yeah, I never said that. Throwing Coleman would give us a better chance to win on Fridays. And Anthony would lock down Saturdays and own the other team's #2 guy.

I still dont see why we would have a better chance to win on Fridays when WE CANT SCORE on fridays. The pitching isnt the problem on Fridays.
Its not getting a hit in innings 2-6 and not driving in runs when we have them in scoring position.

Coleman is better than Ranaudo.

I dont agree. They are both the REAL DEAL, I think they might be equal with Louis getting more run support.

Louis Coleman 1.21 ERA 5-1
Anthony Ranaudo 3.08 ERA 2-2
Your ERA has nothing to do with run support, and Coleman's is much better. And exactly, Coleman gets more run support because he pitches on Saturday against a pitcher that's not as good as the guy Anthony went against on Friday. That's why Anthony should go on Saturday, the team would get him more runs and he could throw better because there wouldn't be as much pressure on him. Coleman can handle the close game situation pressure better than AR. Coleman would be the better Friday night guy.

The guy pitching on Friday will not effect how much run support he gets. Until we hit on Friday it dosent matter who run out there
