He had just dropped the brother-in-law of my son's best friend off in Shreveport coming from the CWS. This has my heart so heavy.

Truly sad. I lost my sister to a car accident and she was in her late 20s. My heart goes out to his friends and family.

LSUMomFan please extend all of our sympathy to his family. I hope the outpouring of sympathy on this board will provide you and them with a small measure of comfort during such an awful time.

thread would be pretty confusing for someone didn't know "shooter" was the kid's name. Sad story.

I hope it was just poorly worded. Hopefully this is what he meant to say:

The brother-in-law was blessed that he wasn't in the car or it would have been a double tragedy.

at the very least, I'm glad that the last game that he saw was a victory in omaha.

RIP Shooter

Our thoughts are with you and your family and especially Shooters family. This must be incredibly hard for all involved.

RIP

It's so eerie reading over his last few posts. He had plans, apparently, to fly to and visit Chicago and eat at a notorious restaurant in Chicago in July. Man, it's so crazy that he was so close to doing this and now it's an empty ticket.

You just never see it coming like this. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

We need to get word the the boys in Omaha that LSU lost a true tigerfan to an accident on his way back from Omaha; maybe some guys will give Shooter the tribute he deserves........

Man, I HATE that things like this happen.

Ugh.

At least Shooter was doing something he loved, just finishing up seeing the Tigers win in Omaha.

Hopefully, the Tigers can finish up the job, and I'm sure that somehow, somewhere, Shooter will be watching that as well.

That's what I'm saying Shel.......our team needs to know that one of their own lost a life watching them.....

I'm confident the Tigers will finish this one out for Shooter.

That would be pretty sweet if someone that reads this would actually know how to get word to the right people to make that happen.

It would be very fitting!!!
