Any explanation on the quick timeout called by Shepard? Coaches acted like 'We would have scored anyway, but what you saw was a legit reason to call a TO.'. That's my take, anyone else? Sorry on blackberry if already discussed; point me to thread if so.

Didn't have enough on the line of scrimmage. Shepard and Boone prevented a penalty

They were calling it from the sideline too, on the replay.

You could see Les say "good call" or something like that too him.

That was going to be a penalty. It looked like he was telling DPeterson to get on the line but he never looked over. Smart call and the coaches praised him on the sideline for calling it.

He looked very 'aware' on it, showed good leadership. I need to look at the replay again. Thanks guys. Was Boone calling TO too?

Not sure if its on TV, but live you could see all three (with Deangelo) looking at eachother and motion for another guy to step up to the LOS and Shep really doesn't do it until late and may not have even made it to the LOS.

Looking thru binoculars from the south end zone I saw shep(?) and Boone waving someone (DP19?) to move up then I saw Boone signal time out. Video replay may show shep called it but I thought it was Boone. Regardless better safe than sorry heads up play.

I was watching the receivers on Shep's side, and there was a ton of confusion. I'm not sure that they heard the audible, so Shep called the timeout. Good call, cause at least 2 guys were confused.
