For the rantards that have given up on RS what's the latest? Did his performance last night change your view of him and his contributions on the field for 2012?

IMHO he is the X-factor for us to win a BCS title and run the table in 2012. Sounded to me like he had a good game catching the ball last night and maybe has moved into another "good-fit" role of returning kickoffs with his speed and vision.

BTW: I think his non-TD catch call last week was debatable. He didn't really drop the ball so much as the ground caused him to lose control. With ODBJr, JLandry, and RShep we have a formidable receiving corps when Mett is throwing the football. KBoone is a good 4th WR. Geaux Tigers!

I agree that Shep played great last night and could be a valuable contributor down the stretch. But you've forgotten James Wright.

Not really. One of the top WRs didn't play so he got more opportunities than normal.

he snagged a pretty tough ball last night. I hope last night got the monkey off his back and he'll be more consistent going forward because we'll definitely need him.

Shep played well last night. He even lined up at RB and had a great play. He has the potential to be a Percy Harvin type of player. I hope Les keeps giving him the ball at receiver and at RB.

He's not a natural receiver, but he did step up his game last night. I think another receiver would have caught River's deep ball, and he did drop another. Both of those put an end to drives.

However, I think he can improve into the receiver we all want to see. He's just not there yet.

never looked at it like that. Good comparison. He can make plays in space.

Not this guy, but I enjoyed Shep having a great day. Made catches.

The Rivers pass is almost an impossible catch - he laid out 100% and still had to catch with just hands, he didn't have his chest/body to help secure the ball like a lot of diving catches are caught.... Very few NFL players could make that catch. You can't watch that play and fully expect him to catch that ball.

No it shouldn't have. It was a hell of a catch by Shep and in no way should have been 6.

I agree - he made sure he secured tHe ball before worrying about running with it.... y'all get made when he drops the ball, and now when he makes a good catch you're upset he didn't score..... Geez
