Shaq sat right underneath the goal and watched them play. He was off about his height because he plays smaller than he is.

I trust shaq's judgment of this. he watches a lot of nba games. but, just because they are not ready doesn't mean they shouldn't go. get on the job training and be well paid to do it.

Shaq knows the NBA and what it takes to play in the league. He is right that both would have been better off working on their games another year.

But especially Mickey. He needed to work on all facets of his face-up game with Dupree, like how to attack on the bounce and make midrange jumpers consistently. He is too small to play the 4 and too clumsy/limited to play the wing at the next level.

Exactly my thinking. I feel they can develop more against NBA talent than college talent. (Whether its the D league or NBA)

Mickey will be playing in Europe and Martin will be riding an nba bench. They both need a ton more of development.

His game didn't change much for 4 or 5 years in the NBA.

Definitely. Much more practice time and better coaching in the pros

Martin, probably. Mickey, questionable.

The sarcasm attempt was not your best work. Kind of like the end of the NC State game was not Mickey's.

True. Being the NBA Rookie of the Year was just a gift. He didn't deserve, though he did lead his team and all NBA rookies in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots.

I think one more year on a more talented team, Martin could have vaulted himself into being a lottery pick. That's a nice pay bump.

Mickey could have stayed another 2 years and I don't think it would have made a big difference in his stock.

You're talkin' out the side of your neck.

Shaq consistantly improved in scoring rebounding assists and turnovers his first three years. Look up his stats.
