yeah it was a good show. Years ago when Dale was coaching, I heard people say that he was a great motivator, but a poor coach, and maybe that is so, but his teams were always exciting to watch, and played their hearts out for the man, and I looked at him as a decent human being. I had discontinued attending basketball games by the time Shaq came to LSU, but in the years when Dwayne Scales, Rudy, Jordy, Tree Green, Hi C Carter, Cookie Man, Swat Mitchell, John Williams, Derick Taylor, and Ethan Martin, Willie Sims, and I know I'm omiting some, but those were some great players, and a great time to watch LSU Basketball. There were several years where if you weren't a season ticket holder, there was not a ticket to be sold. Johnny Jones was a member of one of those teams, but from what I can remember he didn't start very often if any, and was said to be out of control on the floor. He was one of 2 widely sought after players, at the time, the other his name slips my mind went to Miss. St.and no it wasn't Jo Jo Dean lol. Although Joe was a decent player at BRHS and did play off the bench occasionally for MSU. They won't be retiring his jersey up there though.

Growing up (maybe before that), Dale's grandson Chris was my best friend, and I was lucky enough to go to two of his summer camps. At the time, didn't quite realize who he was or the significance of the opportunity, but today, very grateful. Kind coach, even to the kids.

(for the record, I'm 23)

People who say that heard it from someone else and have not idea what they're talking about. People who say it about Miles are about as knowledgeable.
