You're a major ignoramus. We didn't lose because of Canada or Aranda. We lost because our interior lineman suck, and that's not coach O's fault. That is Less Miles' fault. LSU waited too damn long to fire his arse.
I know you know zero about football..but...
There are actual plays that hide OL issues. West coast offense for instance gets the ball out with quick easy throws that's easy on the QB and Oline. Why didnt we run such plays?
But keep on blaming les for the next 4 years

Our boys need to get to get pissed and play with a chip on their shoulders. Now.

from all coaching experience up to this point says that he will be great and recover from an off night.
But it doesn't. It doesn't at all. He's had some REALLY bad offenses. Just look around.

Has anyone brought up the fact that orgeron could be controlling the game plan? He preaches no turnovers just like les did. Les would rather sit on the ball than take a risk. Maybe orgeron is going super conservative. The problem with conservative is it loses you games against better defenses. You have to take risks. Turnovers happen it's a part of the game you try to minimize them but they happen. Orgeron bragged about having no turnovers. Yeah we had no turnovers and still lost by 30. This isn't Canada's offense. It's a shell of it. His offense was about pressuring a defense and exploiting weakness. The offense Saturday looked like a modified les miles offense with motion. He was running into 8-9 man boxes and only throwing on obvious passing downs. Looked awful familiar once ball was snapped.

All those shifts and motions do is serve as indicators as to what the plays gonna be when u don't run but "10%" of the offense. O promised to get away from miles. Remember "he"fired Cameron because of it. Said we would spread things out and open up. He hired Canada so why hasn't he told Canada this ?? Because all i see is the same 22 sets with a little eye candy.

Canada isn't running anything he ran at Pitt. It doesn't look remotely the same. At NC state they ran a spread offense. Idk what he's trying to do but it isn't working.
Personally I think this is an indictment of just how horrible LSU's offensive scheme was pre-Canada. As one of Canada's biggest proponents on this site, I refuse to believe that the dude just forgot how to scheme an offense. He's still one of the best OC's in the nation IMO.
The issue here is he doesn't have anything close to the base he's used to building from. Think about it like school, this dude is used to teaching Calculus. He is used to taking over kids who understand the fundamentals of math and building off of these. In this instance, though, he's taking kids who have maybe mastered long division and have no concept for advanced schemes.
The dude is basically having to reteach them basic offensive fundamentals, and it's significantly limiting his ability to construct anything worthwhile.
That's my opinion atleast.

We are 3 fricking games in to a completely new system. 3 games.
Posted on 9/19/17 at 2:29 am to dnm3305
This team has had 275 yards of penalties in the first 3 games. Why can't LSU players learn from those mistakes? Pee wee football players learn better.

Do any of you think O is meddling with the offense? He admitted last year what his vision of his offense was.

Ignoramus? What, are you 14? This wasn't the '85 Bears we were playing. This is f%(*&%*g Miss. St.!!!
Scheme around their rush. Short passing game? Screens? Where were they?

Go Watch the Pitt vs. Clemson condensed offense video from last year. This is what I thought he'd run.
That empty backfield, fake jet-sweep shovel pass was a thing of beauty.

It was everyone. The talk shows, the huge salary, the fact that Pitt changed so drastically on O with Canada at the helm....I just mistakenly bought it all.

Hindsight now is Gundy or Mullen may have been homerun hires for us
Louisiana has too many idiotic people my man. They laughed at the mention of these two even when you bring up their great resume and accolades.
Gundy and Mullen were two coaches that were perfect for what LSU needed right now. LSU needed an entire overhaul of philosophy. Ed Of represented everything we didn't need.
Ed O - crappy former HC, not offensive minded, knew nothing of coaching QBs or running an effective pass offense, local guy that said whatever the coonasses wanted to hear, not even particularly good on either side of the ball (aka a position coach that doesn't know anything else).
Gundy/Mullen - successful HCs, hugely offensive minded, two of the best QBs coaches in CFB. Five of Gundy's last 7 years he's won at least 10 games and finished 1st or 2nd in the conference. From 2010-2012 they had an offense finishing no less than third in the country. Have you seen some of the WRs he's cultivated? Justin Blackmon, Dez Bryant, James Washington. Mullen has cultivated winning QBs at every stop (Josh Harris Bowling Green, Alex Smith Utah, Tim Tebow Florida, Dakota Prescott MSU). Hell, each QB at State that has started most of a year for Mullen has broken a Miss St record. These guys take a lot of the guys that most others don't want. They are the little brother in their state and get the little brother share of the small amount of rated stars in those states. Both these guys already recruit Louisiana talent as well. Up to date explosive spread offenses.
People need to shut the hell up about bad offensive lines. Dak Prescott almost lost his entire starting line after 2014. Against LSU in 2015 he did almost nothing but 3 step drops and got the ball out quickly (for 335 yards 63% and a TD), with zero running game. Prescott was actually better at passing the ball that year with the crap OL and zero running game, than the previous year (61.6% 3449 yards 27 TDs 11 ints to 66.2% 3793 yards 29 TDs 5 ints).
