3 games in. I'll admit it. I swallowed the shiny bait hook, line and sinker.

They said:
Our offense will be different. Multiple. Imaginative. Unpredictable. Explosive. I bought all of it.

The shifts will confuse the defense. We'll pass more. We'll make them play the whole field. Our run game will still be dynamic but with more passing. I bought all that too.

The truth:
We really don't shift that much. A couple linemen go to this side.... a couple go to that side. The defense shuffles around a bit or none and doesn't seem confused and then we run the play. Big whoop.

We're not explosive (other than some big hitters into double/triple coverage against Chattanooga).

We're not unpredictable. Those famed "tricky" shuffle passes? Yeah, we'll save those for when we're down by 30 points.

Screens? WTF are those? We won't run any of those till we're down big either.

And the biggest insult? The one thing we were actually good at for decades...Running. Yeah, we're going to be worse at that too.

So shame on me for buying the hype about a coordinator who so far isn't much better at passing and is WORSE at the one thing we could always hang our hat on.

Hate to say it but Ensminger's offense after Les was fired was WAAAY more fun to watch.

End Rant.

god forbid it take more than 3 games to install a bran new offense. it would be a shame for you to make any conclusion at this point

Oh, I'll never give up on my Tigers. I'm just embarrassed that I so blindly bought into the hype. It looks like fixing this LSU offense is going to be a work in progress at best.

At worst maybe this is a gimmicky Texas Tech type offense that belongs in a different conference.

the read/option offense was thought of as gimmicky a few years ago and now Alabama runs it.

Canada isn't running anything he ran at Pitt. It doesn't look remotely the same. At NC state they ran a spread offense. Idk what he's trying to do but it isn't working

But the players said it was easy and fun to learn.

maybe it is. might be also difficult to run the entire offense due to lack of depth at WR. Canada has to make the best of the personnel he has at his disposal.

Some will say Canada is limited by players. Sonofabitch, you have to at least run the play to see if they can execute it. I'm so frustrated, I wanna clean fkin house! EVERYBODY. Yes, even that bald genius on defense. Let's completely overhaul the entire fking program.

Could not agree more.

Go Watch the Pitt vs. Clemson condensed offense video from last year. This is what I thought he'd run.

Pitt O vs Clemson 2016

He hasn't run hardly any of this.

So far nothing about Canada's offense strikes me as something that will start sweeping the nation by storm.

Just sayin.

Its hard to fathom that Canada thought freaking Pitt had the personel and talent on offense to fully run his offense but apparently he doesn't think LSU can do it. IDK what the hell his problem is but he is gonna have to stop running this predictable cookie cutter offense that is fooling nobody. Its basically dive right, dive left, jet sweep, 40 yd bomb. Hell this is what LSU has been running the previous 5 years.
