I think it was Lee he was covering for. He wanted Lee to get a chance to play against Oregon.

#1 He's not going pro.lol.

#2. snitch on someone from the team, the WHOLE team will hate you, nobody will block for you, nobody will want to catch balls, etc. Have you played football before? It's a strong bond, never want to divide the team, A LOT of players from certain areas don't believe in snitching and talkin to cops if you get my drift.

I doubt if JJ is covering for anyone. The pressure on the individual he's protecting would be enormous and its highly likely a more public awareness of the situation would have come forth by now.

It doesn't have the ring of truth to it.

That makes no sense. JJ is much more important to the team than Spencer Ware is. He wsa the starting QB with 2 years of experience.

This makes no sense.

Plus, there would be alternating views. People would say that it wasn't JJ. JJ hasn't admitted to anything - he is pleading not guilty. So, he isn't taking the fall.

No way the police got it this wrong if there were witnesses at the fight who say it wasn't JJ. Why won't they come forward?

If there are witnesses who saw something else, are they cowards? Are they obstructing justice?

This is just stupid.

Thank you. Do these people know any black athletes on a personal level. I know lots. You DON'T snitch, no matter what. Let them find you guilty. JJ would lose A LOT of respect if he snitched on a someone from the team. Don't get someone else in trouble that didn't get caught, the guy got away, don't tell on him and get him arrested.

So possibly being tried for felony assault is a better alternative? What you said makes sense if it's JJ and somebody else maybe getting kicked off the team, or being demoted from a starting job, etc. Those are the things you have to weigh your options on.

But being charged for felony assault if you're totally innocent? frick that, anybody that wouldn't understand you telling the 100% truth is too stupid to worry about offending.

Then why doesn't someone from the fight say it wasn't JJ. That way he doesn't have to rat out his friend. Oh wait, someone would have to lie. That won't happen because lying would be considered obstruction of justice. Besides, we all know OJ did it.

If this was true the police would not have arrested JJ after pulling DNA samples from his Imelda Marcos like shoe collection.

That's why you take that shite to trial, let them find you guilty. Don't ruin someone else football career because you got "caught".

I could understand a witness misidentifying somebody. Sure, we all know Jefferson's face, but not everyone in Baton Rouge posts on TigerDroppings (more's the shame) or knows what Jefferson looks like.

I could understand a football player covering for a teammate. They are on the same team. They hold the rope for each other.

I just can't understand how Miles and his teammates would let Jefferson cover for somebody else. It's a criminal investigation. You don't mess with a criminal investigation. Miles is too wise to let Jefferson cover for somebody else.
