I guess maybe I am being a little more defensive here than I should be and for that I apologize. I just can't stand to read the crap on here all the time about "the glory days of Tiger Stadium" that made it sound like we were sacrificing virgins after every TD and the opposing QB's ears would be bleeding every game and nobody ever left. It's over exaggerated and ridiculous. Those of us that have been there know better. Was there more excitement around the program in the mid 90s when Dinardo "brought back the magic" or when Saban turned the sinking ship around and made us a power? Sure. There won't be too much excitement in the stadium this year for several reasons: 1) we are by all logical accounts pretty much out of any running for any title at this point and 2) the home games thus far have all sucked. The stadium will be rocking these next 2 games. That I can guarantee

Charge an exit fee that declines incrementally the closer to the end of a game that you leave

Show me the last time we were unranked and beating the crap out of another unranked team in the 4th and nobody was looking for the exits

That's not a reality, nor is it what I said ever happened.

It's you using hyperbole.

I have said before in this thread numerous times, people have always left early....it just happens more now. Earlier and more frequent.

Unless LSU is playing a good team and the score is close, Tiger Stadium is a shell of it's former self.

As far as "the last time we were unranked and beating the crap out of another unranked team in the 4th", do you realize that you'd have to go back to like 2001 to even find the last time LSU was unranked and played an SEC team at home.

1.Stop outsourcing our quality non-conference games to Texas

2. I think selling booze would help, but if you've ever been to a college stadium that sold beer, more people are in line for booze than there are watching the game.

3. I think shaming people who leave could be beneficial. Not individuals calling out other individuals, since that would lead to fights, but something where people who leave get on the jumbotron as they leave and booed by the fans who stay.

4. Ticket Re-entry

5. Maybe designated areas that have other college games on for those trying to keep up with non-LSU games

No they aren't. Turn on a bama blowout game in the 4th qtr and see for yourself how many fans are still there. Then compare that to the 4th qtr of every game this year in TS

If you want to sit here and argue, we can, but you arent going to change my mind. I've seen Bama fans leave in blowout wins.

allow fans leaving early to give, or even sell their ticket "stubs" to fans outside who want to get in to see the rest of the game (especially if it's a "good" seat).

know how I know you didn't go to the UK or ULM game? Cause if you did you would have seen the numerous people selling tickets to the games. Availability of tix aint the issue.

Not even to watch your favorite team?

I stay the whole time, but I firmly believe that game duration is the number one reason people don't stay.

Look at NFL games. You're generally in and out in 3.5 hrs or less.

It would not take much for CFB to achieve comparable game durations.

Don't even say anything about traffic. What stadium have you gone to and left after the game that did not have traffic?

agree 100% - quit complaining

adding to that, the game experience isn't exactly "entertaining", team performance aside. If the teams aren't playing, sitting there gets old quick. I've yet to experience that same feeling at an NFL venue.

Tigerfan420, You list Buckhead, GA as your location. Do you attend all home games because we really need all the out of town fans who don't like to see empty seats (while watching on tv) start attending games. This will solve the problem and HOPEFULLY end the threads on this subject.

To Earn Your Keep, I only make 1 - 2 games a year. I WISH I could make all the games, but not financially possible. I do make all games in Athens when we play UGA, and cheer/yell as hard as I can.

I made this post because of the negative crap I see and hear on the national scene about Tiger fans leaving at halftime and the half full stadium. Last Saturday night was the exception and I applaud all fans at the game. It looked and sounded great on TV, and reminded me of the "good old days" when I was at LSU and hardly anyone left till the end!!! (late 70's/early 80's) when we did not have nearly the wins we do these days!!!!!
