That just reminded me how much I loved Herb Tyler.

Watched the game at The Station in Baton Rouge. That was a fun night. Remember it like yesterday. Wish I was there to experience it.

I was there. We had no idea what was going on for a while. At first it was just an orange glow. When we could see the flames it looked like it was 15 feet away from the stadium.

Great game!

Auburn was definitely the biggest rival for LSU

I was certainly younger than you in 1996, but I remember Auburn as LSU's biggest rival. I knew the hate for Ole Miss but got to witness and feel the hate for Auburn.

We also had a blocked extra point against Auburn returned for a 2 point score as well.

Auburn went for 2 at the end of the game, and LSU (Raion Hill, I think) intercepted it and ran it back for 2.

I was there. It was a crappy weather day with on/off rain for most of the afternoon. This was our friends first time at auburn, and she really didn't like them. At one point in the afternoon, she said something to the effect of "this campus suck, someone needs to burn it to the ground". Of course, as soon as we see the flames, we look at her, and she says she didn't do anything!

I remember my buddy got us tickets and they were about 12 rows up in the end zone on the auburn side. We were the lone LSU fans in a sea of orange and blue.

Friends of mine (auburn grads) were supposedly with the group that accidentally started the fire. They dumped out hot coals after tailgating, peed on them (haha - hilarious) then went to the game thinking they were extinguished. Nope.

Raion Hill, Brother Martin grad, ran back an INT on a 2 point conversion for points.

I was there and sitting at the very top of the upper deck with the flames right behind us. That was an exciting game!
