This isn't little league or even high school, and gorilla ball is long gone. With 2 outs you can't expect your next guy to just get another hit with this team or the catcher to miss the ball.

The first time it takes a hard and perfect throw to get the runner and it happened, good for them. The second one was questionable, but again with 2 outs you take a chance that he doesn't make a great throw, and again he did. Tip your cap to the defense and move on.

We are an aggressive base running team by necessity and sometimes it's going to burn us, it sucks but it is what it is

I dont think its any less reasonable to 'hope' Fraley gets a hit vs 'hope' that CF doesnt make a short easy throw. He wasnt throwing it from centerfield, he was 10 feet behind the SS.... that was a terrible decision.

There was only one out on the first play at the plate with Freeman running.

I'm more pissed about their player running into Romero at the plate, Bugg air mailing the ball to home plate, and Reid being stranded at 2nd with 0 outs.

Now that all that shite is out of the way, it's time to win these next two games. Geaux Tigers!

No it wasn't. Killed a potential big inning early in the game with 1 out. Cf had the ball before Freeman even touched 3rd

On Freeman's play, there was only 1 out. The CF had the ball before Cole turned 3rd. You have to hold him up there.

The 2nd play is kinda iffy for me. Obviously Breaux isn't as fast as we thought he was. I know the CF got the ball in shallow left but you gotta send the guy in that situation.

AD's hit was just beyond the infielders.

The announcers knew the scouting report on the CF, surely LSU did too.

First time was a no doubter, it took a perfect throw to get him and you tip your cap

Second time was iffy but I do understand the call, it was too shallow to try

That ball was deep enough that the only he gets thrown out is with a perfect throw. The Cf made a perfect throw so much so that the catcher was able to keep his position blocking the plate. If that throw is anywhere else the catcher has to move his blocking leg and Freeman scores. Tip your hat move on its baseball.

Also it was the middle innings, he likely holds him as the go ahead run in the 8th or 9th with one out.

Freeman should not have been sent with less than two outs and the centerfielder coming up with the ball in such short center.

It was a mistake to send him. Hold him at third and he could have scored on any number of ways that did not require the next batter getting a hit.

You never make the last out at home plate, especially when you're down. That's baseball 101.

No you never make the last out at 3rd base not home plate. Don't make claims you don't know

He did not make a good throw on the second one. And as everyone mentioned the first was with 1 out. They were both bad decisions by a guy who has constantly made poor decisions coaching 3rd.

depends on how many runs we're down and the specific situation (how fast is our runner, what kind of jump did he get, where is the ball, what arm does the defender have, etc. etc. etc.).

All of these "by the book" baseball decisions drive me nuts. I'd prefer to be aggressive and put constant pressure on the pitcher and defense. Sure, we'll get burned sometimes, but over the length of the season, we'll come out ahead.

By the way, I didn't watch the game so I have no idea about the specific circumstances last night.

In the early innings, you hold the runner.

In the 8th with 2 outs in the inning and down to your last 4 outs in the game, you send him and make them make the play. They did. Tip of the hat.

No, that's not "baseball 101".

No its not, you never make your 1st or 3rd out at third. Why can't people just recognize a good baseball play and realize that sometimes you will get thrown out in a bang bang play.

In the middle innings you definitely send him.

Thank you for justifying your choice to send the runners NOLAN but when the guy gets thrown out by 6-8 feet...it definitely was NOT the right decision. However, I will say go ahead an try on the first one but when the ball is hit shallow to the same guy that gunned out your first guy and you have your "LEADER" coming up to the plate with a speedy guy at first...the 2nd choice was obviously STUPID!
