Trey Dawson - Peninsula Oilers (Alaska League)
Has hit safely in every game he's played so far (5). Has .316/.381/.474 slash line. He's got 1 HR, 5 RBI, 2 BB, 3 K.

Cody Ducote - Palm Springs Power (Southern Cal League)
Leading LSU players in OPS this summer (1.010). He's got 6 doubles and 4 triples so far. Through 18 games he's at .379/.419/.591 with 11 RBIs, 6 BB, and 7 K.

Josh Smith - Danville Dans (Prospect League)
Leading LSU players with 8 steals on the season. Has a .294/.419/.382 line through 23 games. He's walked 13 times to only 10 strikeouts. He's 4 doubles, a triple, and 9 RBIs batting mostly at the bottom of the order but playing every day at shortstop.

Jake Slaughter - Gaithersburg Giants (Cal Ripken League)
Had his best game so far last night where he went 3 for 3 with a double, a home run, a walk, and 3 RBI. On the season (16 games) he at .263/.368/.439 with 4 doubles, 2 HRs, and 10 RBIs. He's split his time between SS and DH, with one game played at 3B.

I have hitting stats for other players as well and can get pitching stats quickly if other updates are wanted.

Good info. Thanks!

I hope Dawson is able to carry over his offensive success to the team in the fall and next spring.

We knew Ducote could rake but Dawson is off to a surprising start, really need his bat to come around.

Yeah that would be pretty huge.

Yowza that's some good updates. Now I just hope the first two return. Still no word on roster changes other than Latz departure right? So we still stand at 4-5 over? Work got busy and I haven't been able to keep up. Thanks for the updates

Correct. We are 39/35. Still pending Jared Poche's decision. The MLB signing deadline is July 15, so we're not too far from seeing some movement on that front.

I went and watched Josh Smith play at Terre Haute last night. He went 1 for 3 with a single and a walk. He also made a couple of very nice plays at shortstop.

Yes, they are. The wood bat, IMO, accounts for the rather low .111 ISO that the players are running right now. A lot of hits (.305 BA), but mostly singles. Only 5 players so far have an XBH. Duplantis is the only player from the post season roster with an XBH. The rest have been playing for 3 or 4 weeks.
