Seems to me the odds are against this game being played in Gainesville

From the NHC this morning......

Here is the approximate timing of the worst wind and surge impacts, coinciding with the nearest passage of the eyewall of Matthew. (Note that Matthew's eye may never make landfall, but its eyewall, containing the hurricane's strongest winds, may do so.)

Southeast Florida: Thursday evening through early Friday
East-central, northeastern Florida: Friday through Friday night. **********
Georgia coast: Friday afternoon through Saturday morning
South Carolina: Late Friday night through Saturday night
North Carolina (especially south): Saturday through early Sunday

Small, subtle changes in the path of the eyewall, sometimes not resolvable until hours before the passage, will make a large difference on wind impact.

As someone mentioned, the UF and SEC administration should face criminal charges for not moving this game and for forcing fans and a team to travel into a danger zone as the rest of the state evacuates.

They are sand bagging to get the game rescheduled to when their team is healthier.

They know exactly what they're doing.

They not playing at 11:00am on Saturday that looks like a certainty now with a Cat 4 hitting them on Friday afternoon

Will they postpone until Sunday or Monday?

Playing a major college football game in the middle of a hurricane is one of the most insane things I've heard of in college sports.

I don't care where the game is played. I just care when the game is played.

I don't want open dates or cancelling a home game against south alabama to even be considered. That's bullshite. Play at the swamp on Sat and then play at Aggy on Thanksgiving? Just so UF can UF? frick off.

UF had a chance to move the game so it could be played and refused. If the game gets off without a hitch, more power to them. If the game has to be canceled, UF should have to forfeit.

Psst, it doesn't work that way. People can get mad all they want but UF is operating within the rules and its their call.

Deal with it.

Sankey has the power to move this game. He should have done it long ago.
